I did have a hard time trusting it. I set it at 180 and at one point it reached 300. I want to believe because it's brand new.

Wow that’s is interesting. I haven’t noticed any large temp swings really in mine. Usually it’s either +/- 25 degrees at most. I would be concerned about 300 when set at 180 too. I’d for sure monitor that. Maybe it was because its new though.

Throw some aluminum foil on the drip tray. Makes cleanup a breeze. :)

I heard, when new, they need time to "learn"

I thought about it but honestly didn't think tuna would drip. You live, you learn lol

I got it on about 7:30 this morning. Running 250' with Bear Mountain Bold BBQ pellets. I'll wrap it about 165'-170'. Gonna make for some good pulled pork for Supper tonight!

Christmas gift from the wife last year.
"Meater" wireless meat thermometer. You can watch your cook from anywhere you have internet.

How do you like the "Meater" probe? Any problems with a heat range? I'm looking for a wireless for the rotisserie.

I have a MEATER Plus and it's fantastic.. it would work well in a rotisserie set up.. as long as it's below 500F.

Works great. I have the Meater Plus. Works very well within a 150 ft or so. I would recommend it.

They struggle to connect through 1/4” thick steel or more, but I’ve heard good things about them otherwise.

Nothing beats the trusty old analog thermometer, though

I’m using my WWM and Weber kettles. I have plenty of wired therms and digital handhelds. Would like a wireless probe for the rotisserie.
Yea analog still works. Tough to read with charcoal/wood/fat covering the face.

Nice! I haven’t seen a premium kettle with two handles. Was that added after purchase?

Dunno. Bought it used on Craigslist for $50. Came with a bunch of extra stuff so maybe?
