I wish the rav4 prime were more generally available. Electric mode would get me through 95% of my needs, and it would still be good for road trips.

One of my coworkers has an electric ford focus. I guess it’s ok, he hasn’t said anything about it but it seems to be at the office regularly.

Might be a case of no news is good news, unless he talked a lot about his old car I would think no complaints is a decent thing

MX-30 EV seems like a good all around for the city. Mazda has been doing nice interiors lately.
I'd just feel weird dropping $35K on something that does 100 miles. Does have decent rapid charging though.

I don't think that's enough haha, need a full salt water pool, that's the only wany to neutralize those packs fully and stop the reaction. Otherwise lithium packs just keep running away until all the material has reacted. Part of the reason I don't leave those dumb little jump packs in a car when and I store them on concrete away from other stuff. Chinese lithium packs are just a vehicle or structure fire waiting to happen.

An ev with 50 miles winter range would be dope. I would be all for it. Although some days having 540ho is nice, I can't ignore how I am the perfect customer for a 30m commute ev.

I had an Hyundai hybrid in Chicago last year, for a full month, and I do like that car. I think their approach is different than Toyotas but with only a month I couldn't tell if it was better. Nice car, better than all the rentals my coworkers got by a long shot.

Yeah, I pulled those NOCO jump packs out of the vehicles some time back. No thanks.

I’ve also pulled the Goal Zero out of the truck. Mainly it was to run a few things around the house since the power went out with the storm the other day. I douby I'll put it back in to the truck unless I need it. It still does the job despite being a few years old now but the fact that it’s a Li-ion NMC batt… nope.

Debating on whether I want to replace it with the EcoFlow River 2 Pro or the Delta 2 with their LifePO4 batts. The other option I’m considering is just a 2nd AGM in the back with some extras to make use of the panel up top.

Those jump packs though... hell no. Good old fashion jumper cables FTW

Wife's commute is about 65 miles round trip so 100 mile range would work. If we're going to jump into an EV though, might as well do it with decent range.

I replaced my lithium jump pack with a super cap based one. Haven’t had a chance to try it but the concept is nice.

Oh sorry I thought that was @Blackdawg who ended up sending me a spare ECM. In any case it solved the problem of not being able to read codes and I really appreciate it.

    What's up party people?

Excuse my absence, I've got no legit reason for ghosting you guys.

Hope everyone is doing alright! in the meantime I accidentally put a drill bit through my palm at work in the beginning of December lol. "HR" asked for an "incident report" but we're a 5 person company and 3 of those are owner and family so NOTHING is really formal here...

This it what I submitted for my permanent work record20221220_093317.jpg

Geez! Prognosis? Any nerve dmg? I'd still write it up in case it turns into a complication. A report will be documentation for any state work comp action. Speedy recovery wishes!

    Holey indeed

With how much flesh was left on the drill flutes, I'm surprised it didn't poke out the back side

I can't even crucify myself correctly

Thank you sir, I appreciate the well wishes.

I'm fully willing to receive all the lambasting I deserve for admitting this but I didn't get it professionally looked at. It's a small company that I'm in the beginning stages of inheriting and we're thinly margins enough I didn't want the boss to pay that hospital bill. For what it's worth Bossman is very upset with me over the incident because I didn't tell him for 3 days and I didn't get it looked at, I wouldn't be surprised if he filed a report on my behalf anyway, he was genuinely deeply concerned. If the company could afford to pay for insurance I would just paid for it myself and told em I did it in the garage
