Wow, it's $600+ for that cooler.

 

I was considering the Tuf Skinz (I got their American flag gas cap holder for Christmas!). I mentioned to them via email that I’ve read of color match issues. They replied this week that they just updated it, and could send a sample for a few bucks. My issue is if I start and like it, by the time I stop I’m in for several $ as they have a lot of accent pieces. Maybe better I don’t start at all. I think Tacos4Cheap only has the glovebox letters so at least I’ll control myself with one purchase. Same for de-chroming the interior. If I start then I won’t stop until I do everything. Again, maybe better I don’t start.

Here’s a close up of the Tuf Skinz Lunar Rock glovebox lettering. Draw your own conclusions. I sent it back.

 

Curious if that’s before or after their update. I think I’ll wait until someone has a positive review.

These were ordered mid-December. Shipping took forever. Approx 2 weeks from order date. It was over the holidays so that might be the reason. I get it.

We’ll see about the return. Still haven’t received acknowledgment of receipt. This will tell the tale. Standby.

If they come through, give them a chance to improve their product. If not, then take note and be informed.

I just got some door inserts last week and they look like that. Was super disappointed.

 

 LR + Black is a great contrast.

- A touch of Red as a highlight. 3 colors only.

At first, I thought I'd get id of the stickers... But they've grown on me, and they are staying.

I really like the hood Pro Sticker. I had already scoped out a pattern to black that portion out on on the OR hood in case I had to go that direction.

I like how the bed sticker works to tie-in the all black cap.

 

Ron Tonkin in Portland? Stay away from their service department like it's the plague. Seriously go to another dealership for service. I take my 21 TRD Pro there and every time they have caused damage or have done something half a**ed or incorrect. They have broken lugs during a tire rotation, replaced all my center caps on my rims 2x bc they broke the clips, installed the oil filter access door upside down on the skid plate. In September my Tacoma was broken into, took it to them to replace the rear door window. The pillar graphic was damaged by the thief as well. They had to replace it 3x bc they did such a crap job, the technician left all the broken glass inside the door panel, and didn't install the window properly. So when I closed the door I could hear broken glass shaking around along with the window bouncing around. Oh and there's more, the technician used Im guessing a screw driver to pry off the plastic door panels, which caused scratches and nicks that they had to hire a refinishing company to repair. My last 2 visits, I have insisted my service adviser Jimmy, and the manager Cassandra inspect my truck before I arrive to pick it up, and we do a walk through before I leave.

 

I’m still thinking about getting rid of the stickers. The red on them is next to the red taillights so that sort of ties in. Otherwise it stands out as the only color on the truck. I like just the black accent. Plus it says TRD (turd). My Dakota I had 24 years said SLT (slut).

Dang! Thankfully all I did was purchase from there. The purchase wasn’t bad outside of the 4 hours spent there. 3 of which were spent just waiting. All my service will be done in my hometown in Central Washington. So far they’ve been good with servicing my wifes 4runner.
