Finishing up details on my MST drift car. This body is Pandora's Toyota Starlet. The rear bumper is detachable (magnets) and I put LEDs in most of the light buckets. I have a few more touches like windshield wipers, tailpipe and mirror, but otherwise it's almost done. The chassis is pretty well sorted and did a shake down run a couple weeks ago at our local drift track.

I'm using the AMT '92 Toyota pickup model on my SCX24. The stock wheelbase is fine. I need to get back to it... again a few more details need to be done like painting the grill and finishing the interior. I drew up some magnet body mounts and printed them out of ABS. Also have a magnet for the hood. It's camouflaged into the intake manifold LOL. You can see the square piece of steel glued in the hood.

The Starlet is sweet! This is a coworkers S13.

I ended up ordering a carother hilux body. I also had a bunch of stuff on a spreadsheet for the SCX I was thinking about ordering - then saw Tower Hobbies had the Mini-Z Jimny on sale for 150 so I had an impulse buy moment. So needless to say the SCX won’t get a bunch of updates soon. Maybe.

Going to try this again. :anonymous: The $15 purple hvlp spray gun from harbor freight would not atomize the liquid mask (kept sputtering and clogging) and applying by paint brush wasn't a results worthy experience. Ordered another bottle of liquid mask and went with the $25 green HF hvlp this time.

Curious to hear about your results... I have the purple one specifically for liquid mask but have not used it yet. I have brushed it on the past few bodies instead but the brush marks don't leave a clean surface to cut.... I have a body I'm planning to paint soon as we get warm weather and had intended to use the purple hvlp.... I'll delay a bit I suppose

I am into RC, but I only have airplanes right now. I used to have some cars years ago. Here are some pics of my P51 and Turbo Timber Evo

All you guys have some great projects going on. Waiting for my dispute with UPS to finish up, then I'll have a SBR 2.0 to add to the r/c collection. Can't wait :burnrubber:

This thing is nuts compared to my brushed trucks.

It seems like my newer trucks are crazy fast by comparison to anything of the past.

    Careful mashing the throttle!

I’ve already smashed into my neighbors trashcan doing a speed run. Might need to get a 3s battery for in the neighborhood.

I said I wasn’t going to mod the Deadbolt too much, now I’m waiting on a chassis and brushless setup.

In the meantime I’ve also picked up a MiniZ Suzuki and today I picked up a TRX4M Defender. I thought I wasn’t going to spend much with this hobby lol.

Kiddo was revelry gifted a furitek raptor chassis and some new tires. I’m now having fun with the brushless setup and ordered one of the Furitek Cayman kits and way too many extra sets of wheels and tires. C925636C-5A11-4251-8218-AABDF468410F.jpg

I was watching a video a few days back on how cool it would be to own a fighter jet RC…then it crashed. 6k+ gone. Wonder if he just lost control of the jet?

Buddy of mine bought one of the gray market imports. Managed to get it registered. Fixed it up and sold it.

Some of the planes can get really expensive. I saw a jet flying this past summer and I was told the guy had 20G invested in it.
