Update: Just for shits and giggles, I installed a Timney Gen 5 trigger ..... Holy shit .... nicest glock trigger I have ever seen in a glock. A little light for carry (consistent break of 3.2lbs), but WOW. Next to no take up, breaks at 90 degrees, resets at about a 1/8th of an inch.

Ordered these, on the fence about ordering a Cloud Rein 3.0 FDE, don’t necessarily want to spend the money but I need a good light for my 13.9 rifle.

Picked up my Ruger EC9s Friday, I like this little sub compact 9mm. Haven't shot it much at all, but it feels good and fires well in the back yard. Then I thought this is my only 9mm? A little pocket pistol? So, being the good idiot that I am, I bought a Canik SFX Rival, with their proprietary red dot on it, black and bronze. It's got a shit ton of good reviews as a race gun, so it's way above my capabilities, and should help make me learn to shoot better. Practice practice practice.
Then I thought, professional idiot time. My only 10mm is my Glock 29sf. Another compact?? Well, that had to changed as well, Smith and Wesson Shield 2.0 10mm bundle, 4 mags, and a holster. All this flying to my FFL, really exited to get back at it after taking a long time off for the prices to get back to normal, and I think we're almost there. All the pistols that I looked at for weeks, where being sold at reasonable prices, along with most ammo, but Mr 10mm ammo is still high, but I had to bite the bullet........ and purchase.
Thank you for reading my ramble on handguns and supply.

It’s because the new rule doesn’t ban braces they’re still 100% legal to possess. It just makes any weapon with them installed into an SBR which IS a felony if you don’t do the right paperwork and get a tax stamp.

"Pistol" sales will be through the roof during the 120day amnesty period.

Isn’t one of the parts of it you have to submit photos of your braced pistol to qualify for the amnesty?

I think that changed. While it was in the initial rule I have not seen or heard of it in the final published rule.

Only part that appears to mention photos is if you choose you can submit photos your weapon(s) to atf to get a decision if they qualify as pistols.

I'm still waiting for more info to come out to confirm the form 1 process and the possibility of TRO etc

    Not that I've seen.

The big change is with trusts. The trust must "own" the braced firearm and have owned it since before Jan 13.

That date is a bit subjective. The e-file site says Jan 13th but other people say it is when it actually hits the registry (ie next day or two).

Filing as an individual I haven't seen anything "proof" wise.

I’m doing the same thing. I’m torn between free SBRs and the decent chance of this all getting overturned based on the bump stock ruling. Id rather keep them pistols if I can but I’d feel real dumb if I waited it out and missed the amnesty period waiting for a court ruling.

Even if most people complied how are they going to approve over 20 million guns in 120 days?

They're not and the posted rule acknowledged that fact by stating any submissions via form 1 submitted within the 120 window will be considered in compliance until the form is processed.
