You might know this already but might help someone else. It’s not a bourbon, it’s an American single malt, finished in sherry casks, so it’s gonna have a more scotch base to it

 

It's pretty good when I first opened the bottle. Now it's more peated than I would like.

 

My thought was "I'd rather just have good scotch".

 

I am not a scotch fan, but I do have a couple random American single malts, they are good. Nothing special

Why do the Willett purple tops go for so much on the secondary market but green tops don't? They don't seem much different in rarity

Any similarities to the triple mash? That one I wasn’t the biggest fan of.

 

Picked this up yesterday. I enjoyed the regular bottle of this, so thought I’d give it a try. Really enjoy this. Also saw a few bottles shown on here the last few days that I need to go back to the store and purchase. Have enjoyed reading through this thread for that reason.

Wasn't a fan of the bonded so I didn't care to try the triple mash. This release is only worth msrp for the first couple drinks.

 

Recommendations for a good mixer whiskey. Got a Bartesian as a gift and not sure what I should load in the thing

 

i like wild turkey, and bullet bourbon with my coke if that is what you're after, both fairly inexpensive but not so cheap the taste is trashy.

 

Normal old 4 Roses works well for me.

 

so, i assume it's good, got a bottle from a friend. and have not opened it up yet, seems a few friends got me random bottles have a bullet, a makers mark, a bottle of Woodford reserve, got the 4 roses think there may have been more, oh a bottle from some smaller distillery close to where my cousin just got recently married i mentioned i liked the taste of.
