It seems like we get these mid winter thaws every year lately.

Yeah, we get mid winter thaws, but since the big storm before Christmas, it's been above freezing a lot more than below, with a bunch of rain. So far, the Old Farmer's Almanac has been a bit off.

    So on a different note…
I was literally tightening that clamps for the final glue up on the stereo stand I’m making for my daughter and my son texts to see if I’d be up for making an entertainment center for his new tv. Gotta keep the workshop busy!

Maybe by the time that's done, I'll have some ideas for a portable bar. :D

YES! One of the main motivations for building my drawers and eventually having a 12V fridge with a freezer for ice is this exact reason. I'll never have the biggest monster truck that climbs the mountain, but gosh darnit I intend to have a mobile cocktail bar at some point!

Absolutely! I want to roll into camp, and have a drink in my hand within minutes! Plus, being organized for those occasions where I'm making a bunch of drinks at once will be much easier.

Perhaps we can come up with a plan several of us like and build a few.

I was kinda thinking of something along these lines, but customize for our needs.

Mine will be a bit limited due to space inside my drawers but I'd be willing to make more once I find a working combination. That being said, my woodworking skills are what I'd call amateur so it might be best to pass off the end construction to real wood elves (or just share plans for DIY).

In a way, yes. Many years ago my neighbor had a Walnut tree removed. He knew I did woodwork as a hobby, so he offered it to me. A guy in our iceboating club had a portable sawmill and came over and cut it into planks for $75.
    Score!
Unfortunately it almost all gone now.
