If you look to the front, there is a bottle jack actually holding it up. There are also two jack stands, one visible in front and one not visible under the vehicle. The scissor jack is just acting as a third jack stand, but you can see the small gap. It's not holding anything up...

I have a cheap X-Box wireless controller I use sometimes. I haven't used it for anything but positioning the torch. I need to program the jog settings and some other stuff.

My W10 puter wouldn't play with the wireless XBox controller.

I probably should check if the W11 upgrade fixed that bug.

I really like having the remote. I'm forever worried about "tip ups", so I keep my finger on the pause button.

That Pro makes me drool every time I see it, but I remind myself "nope" since the non-Pro barely fits

I plan on going with a bucket for drain/fill but will need to pick your brain later on setting some sort of system/pump?

As for the laptop stand, I bought it for convenience even though there are free cut files for one. I asked because...as I thought...Langmuir dropped the ball on their own install instructions.

Had emailed them asking if I got the wrong mount since the instructions are stating to use hardware I don't have? And the mount looks different? I went to check out the Pro's installation and it matched what I had.

Come to find out, Langmuir never updated their non-Pro laptop stand install and shows an old version no longer used. Now, I only referenced the install instruction not because it's hard to do but because I didn't know what side was "front" and only then did I see a bracket I didn't have in my possession.

So, old install instructions with pictures that don't match, missing hardware, and a wrong leg. Least I got a new leg being shipped out and I already bought my own hardware.

Yeah, I'm following your thread on Langmuir site. I recognized the vice stand shown in one of your pics for confirmation of "Kwikfab" = "Kwikvette" :)

I didn't want to sound like a complete knob going in there and asking questions, but I felt relieved that I was 100% correct in the discrepancies I had found.

Then that had me wondering why I had extra hardware too; I know since I didn't use the slat holders I would have extra self-tapping screws but I have no idea why I have extra socket caps and this thing -

On the plus side, she's mostly done -

Tomorrow I'll move the table out of the way and toss the CNC in the corner as well as going through the break-in and alignment process.

Missing or the wrong parts is far to normal the last few years.

Bought a Miller 211 years ago and added a spool gun and misc other stuff for a bigger rebate to the holiday discount at the time. Just unboxed it and letter rip. No aluminum experience. Criticism welcomed..

About 10 years ago I bought a tig welder with no experience in tig at all. I watch 1000 different YouTube videos and had people tell me that I simply could not learn to tig weld this way. I persisted anyway. I welded a stainless turbo manifold with an external waste gate for my motorcycle. It wasn't perfect, but It came out good enough that I was proud to show it to friends.

This is really only a hobby for me so I can't expect much given the time I put into it. Cutting and etching my welds show good penetration but they don't always look the best. Instead of a stack of dimes, I often get stack of dime nickel, quarter. This has been made worse with the winter making my torch cable just a little stuffer.

What can I do to get a more consistent bead? Wha techniques should I practice?

    More Arc time !!

Just a matter of making the puddle dance to your tune! Understanding what you need to happen then making it happen on a regular basis .

Be able to see! Sometimes more light is needed.

Be in a comfortable position. Practice the range of motion without output. Make sure nothing hangs up and your in the correct position to reach the length of the weld.

tie ins can be hard for some practice if needed.
