So gator says, I wonder if there are any D-35’s for sale in my area >>>Craigslist!
No D-35’s but a bunch of other Martin’s came up. So imma scrolling along and I see ‘Martin guitar $250’. Naturally I’m like, wtf??? It’s 3 hours south of me. Entry level stick but solid Sitka spruce top and a Fishman pickup factory installed. Laminated mahogany back and sides. $779 retail. Fire up a text and close the deal. Old guy deep into his 70’s bought it in 2019 to get back into playing. Arthritis said
So he literally played it once, and put it back into the box for nearly 4 years. Still has the plastic film on the pick guard! In this case, I’m one lucky mofo!!! Tweaked the truss rod, filed the saddle, and threw some strings on there. She looks plain but she has a big booming voice!
