    That would be real easy for me - my job gives me access to an SEM with electron spectroscopy and a XRay diffractometer. I can tell you in 10 minutes exactly which combination of iron and oxygen it is, whether it's a metal flake, hematite, or if its attached to other common road detritus, or if it's just an iron rich organic (like some bacteria).

    I diagnose stupid shit like this for myself and coworkers all the time.

    How you guys do it... I don't know. :cookiemonster::cookiemonster::cookiemonster:

    My grandparents pigs slept in cleaner quarters than that.

    Um no. I took care of the pigs from ages 8 until 14 on my grandparents farm. Pig styes are not cleaner. Pigs are evil. I could not wait until slaughter. Fucking pigs. Every time I eat bacon I win.

    I once said that I stopped eating calamari after interacting with octopus and squid and learning how intelligent they were. Someone clapped back with the response "pigs are just as smart, are you going to stop eating pork?"

    Fuck no. Pigs are overbred assholes that will out reproduce us all. I'll take an extra helping of bacon purely in honor of that question.

    @hiPSI @Rock Lobster

    Since this is an emotional subject for you guys, I thought I'd dig up some pig pics from a couple of my trips in Cuba. Cradle to grave. :D

    Dare I ask how this thread went from rust in the bed to pigs in Cuba?

    I hate pigs and I love to eat pigs. Just imagine an eight year old having to feed several 300+ lb pigs and they wanting to eat you as well as the slop. I hate pigs and loved when my grandfather slaughtered the pigs. I cheered.

    We had pigs growing up!
    Always getting out of pen pain in the ass to catch!
    We even had electric fence.
    But damm the bacon and sausage and ham later was so good!
