Yes. There is a TSB stating so. It’s in our discord

I’ve been ghostin, here and there just busy with the house and work. Like the progress! I’m stuck in the bay for a bit trying to get out early this year. I’ll give you a shout if I head your way.

    More parts ordered.

Land Cruiser drives like a dream, which I have to thank the OME steering damper for that. More like, steering is much more controlled and remains pointed wherever you have it facing especially hitting bad potholes.

It's also quieter at idle which I think the old belts had something to do with; the old AC belt was grooved and the two alternator belts were of different brands.

Swapping the three to new (and appropriate) belts and getting the correct amount of deflection really helped.

Only downside now is that I've got an OEM (used) power steering pump on the way along with a new high-pressure hose. I've done what I can to bleed the air out of my power steering system but each morning I come out to a puddle of new stuff.

This tells me that air is getting sucked in, due to the "froth" when removing the cap, but also that a leak is still present since I've got a puddle of ATF underneath. Instead of going in again to replace another hose or two, I'm putting in a rebuilt OEM steering pump while also replacing the remaining hoses.

Well, it's been a rather crazy several weeks in its own way.

Happy to announce a few small victories.

For one, high pressure lines, feed and return line, and power steering pump all replaced.

    20230113_151055.jpg

Waited awhile to post about the success but after driving it several days, I'm happy to report this is all the leaking I get.

Here, my vehicle was parked with cardboard underneath overnight.

    20230115_100115.jpg

Huge difference; only fluid that leaks is oil as that's from a leaky valve cover.

    20230115_100104.jpg

The one thing that's kept me really busy though was the setting up of my new CNC plasma table.

    20230114_212810.jpg

After some quality control issues, several rants, and a steep learning curve, was happy to be able to produce my first cut tonight!

Really happy with how I got the travel speed right on the first go. Unfortunately I didn't implement any Z-Axis settings in my setup before creating the G code. It's ok though.

Surprised how tight of a line I got with a 1.1 sized tip.

Giving my welder helper something else to hold onto.

After I get some time behind the software and machine, I hope to come up with some bumper parts and more.

    Kwik Fab LLC coming soon!

Decided to vacuum the LC since it's been about 8 months since I last did it.

Found this finally, thought it was long gone

    20230120_152753.jpg

I am a little pissed about one thing though.

When I replaced everything power steering related, I thought all issues were gone since nothing leaked.

Few days later, I'm spotting this.

Placed this box underneath while I cleaned it out.

    20230120_155848.jpg

Had cleaned everything underneath to make it easy to spot any leaks.

    20230120_160022.jpg

Seems to be coming from where the box and the pump meet? Or near the line?

    20230120_155909.jpg

Fresh fluid dripping from the rear of it as well.

    20230120_155949.jpg

The hoses above are dry, and there's no drip coming from the top.

The point where the bottom hoses connect to the pump also seem to be dry.

The pump got a new o-ring and yes it was cleaned/lubed where it sits.

Don't get me wrong it's 100 times better than before, but I wanted to get rid of this leak altogether.

Partout? I laid claim to the axles, lol.

It's a minor leak. Just keep an eye on it

No I get that, and it's easier to keep topped off since it's really minor.

But the pump is rebuilt and all seals and hoses are new. Just frustrating.

I inspected the pump before disassembly and nothing out of the ordinary.

Thinking maybe something with the O ring, or the hose going to the pump...I don't know.

    Funeral tomorrow

    School M-Th

OBGYN appointments once a week on my days off of school

And doing side work as a welder when I get a chance

Then the baby will be here soon so...

    :bananadead:

And I might need to pull my power steering pump again to find out why it's leaking even if it's significantly less than before
