Hey all! Just bought a 2005 Tacoma yesterday and joined the forum today and scrolled around to see this motorcycle forum! I love riding and have been riding way more than driving recently.

    Currently have a 2008 Kawasaki Versys, 2001 Suzuki DRZ400E and 2018 Honda CB1000R.

    Thanks!! :)

This is the CB1000R. It doesn't get ridden much. I'm lazy and like the upright riding position of the Versys.

Well part of it is how I ride :anonymous:

I grew up riding the rear brake into and out of corners to keep the suspension loaded plus it gets some heavy use in another way :bikewheelie2:

i’ve been out of it for a little while :anonymous: so I appreciate it.

i used to use rmatvmc for a lot of consumables. Motorcyclecloseouts for gear. Thumpertalk store for original parts. And motosport.com for some stuff. If I couldnt find oem parts on the thumpertalk store, i’d just go to my dealer and pay out the ass for them :(

Motorcyclegear.com is a great source for riding gear and I think it used to be Motorcyclecloseouts. I bought a Klim Goretex jacket for less than $500 back before Christmas and then a new mesh First Gear jacket for under $90 around New Years.

I need to mount 2 new tires real soon and have them at home in my basement already but I was looking at buying 2 more right away to keep on hand but the prices have really jumped so I'll probably hold off and hope they come back down a little or that Michelin at least offers a rebate soon.

The list of shit that has kept me from riding:

    rear master/caliper failure
    Rear tire is about spanked
smokes a little on start up but no measurable oil consumption yet
    Coolant has never been flushed

its almost 8 years old now with just under 16k

I’d like to do the following:

    440/434 big bore
    Head work/Valves
    E model cams
    Lectron carb
    Bigger front rotor
    Better front pads
    New rear rotor
    Better rear pads
    Coolant flush n fill
    Maybe new coolant hoses
    Repack head stem bearings
Check/replace any and all other bearings
    Retrue the wheels

Thanks! The DRZ is not plated (and no lights) so it is for dirt only.

I actually sold my DRZ400SM last month. I miss how fun that was on twisty roads but don't miss how terrible it was everywhere else. :D

i know! it was late and i have two files for work in process photos one is photodump (it gets the fast edits) and one is photodump share (finalized edits) and i clicked the wrong file and went yup this is right! and then looked at it later on my phone and was like huh that killed the quality oh well and didnt notice till i got to work!

buuut i did fix it now lol i had the photos saved on my phone so the quality might be a bit hurt but its at least the correct photo...
