    The newer ones are switchable between white and red. I use white around town and red when camping.

    Moths can come in when you open the doors to grab things. Red light doesn’t attract them as much. Nobody wants a bunch of moths stuck in their cab. Super annoying the next day when driving.

    :eek: I think they can work on gray and blue vehicles. Not quite as much on other colors. What I dislike are those super busy black and silver "rhinestone studded" looking wheels. Too much going on, distracting.

    The three stripes represent a heritage of a videogame that I played...whenever I was too bored to play Mario, Spy hunter, Marble Madness, Excitebike, Duck Hunt, Track and Field, Punch Out, Hogans Alley, or Mario 3. So there. Its nostalgic of Ironman's Off Road, which only sat slightly higher in the pile of dusty cartridges than that awful Ninja turtle game.

    That's why those three stripes are on my mudflaps, grille, door sills, dash, and air valve caps. Heritage of a racing team that I now pretend that I was remotely interested in as a kid.
