    My wife and I just hiked into (and back out of) the Grand Canyon, spending two nights at Phantom Ranch. The trail down is around 10 miles with 5000 of descent. Of course the "back up" portion is the fun part. One of my favorite signs says "Down is optional, up is mandatory." The Park Service saves tons of people every year, plus recovering bodies.

    Ran across this today. Solid front axle with locking hubs, winch and adjustable spotlights on the roof. Pretty cool rig but I have no idea what they’re using it for?
