Almost all highway across the plains; I think she liked stretching her legs.

That looks great! In time I’ll add some sliders to the grey Taco, I’m waiting on a skid from RCI currently.

The shop looked like a pretty clean and modern operation. Of course I couldn't go in but could peak through the door: lots of space, a few robots, racks of tubes, and some welders working their magic. In the reception area they had a display with most of their armor. I saw a 4Runner in the parking lot with their roof rack and it was really low profile. The guy who installed my sliders even went out of his way to get me a black RCI sticker :) . I guess I'm a fan!
A front skid is next; trying to decide if I want the RCI one or the TRD one. Both would do everything I need and more but they are different styles.
I sort of wanted to install them myself but I've injured one shoulder so I'm out of commission for months, and when I tell my buddies who might be able to help me that I got sliders they have no idea what I'm talking about. Given what I saved on shipping I think it was worth it to have them done by the pro.

After hearing that the Fumoto valve is accessible without removing the RCI skid I pulled the trigger on Dec 27th. While it would be entertaining to run over the hill and see the shop, the cost/benefit worked out better to have it shipped over to the western slope. They mentioned something about 4 weeks, maybe I should check in?

I went with the F133S short nipple M12-1.25 and added the MH-10 hose connector. I was concerned about the valve being the lowest point on the truck. Also being able to connect a hose is key for no mess oils changes.

If you go the Fumoto route, I wouldn’t take the truck in for oil changes. The stoney bologna 19 yo 200 LB gorilla at quick lube is probably going to have a hard time with it and something will get broken or done incorrectly. YMMV

It was worth it. Especially because of your shoulder. And, you met real life, RCI people.

I was going to say it helps, but really I have no idea if it helps. My sliders are on Route on a truck right now and I had to call them a couple times cuz I just didn't hear from them didn't know what was going on didn't get an update on the progress. It was funny each time I called they always answered we're always very nice to work with, and they always had a really good bit of information on updating me with the progress so. It wouldn't hurt to call in check on your order.:)

Nice, I have the BX23S with backhoe. How does it handle with trailering it? I've been considering a 16ft aluminum trailer, but steel would be way cheaper!
