Battery dead start issue happened again last night and this morning. Wiggled the positive battery terminal and its started without a fuss both times.

Ordered a new set of terminals if thats the issue, then will chase it with a new battery if I keep having the issue.

Played hookie last Thursday and skiied Alta with the fam. Pow storm the couple days before hand made it dank AF, and prob one of the best ski days Ive had.

    Resized_20221229_100612.jpg

Also, pocket bacon makes the ski day even better!

Oh, and while the fam was here for Christmas, the microwave door basically deconstructed itself, so several hundred bucks later, now all my appliances match, which is cool I guess.

Edit: put a magnetic knife strip in too. IDK what I was dragging my feet on it for. Its awesome!

Also, got the tires rotated. Took the shimmy out of the steering, and also allowed me to discover that my passenger side UCA nut had backed almost all the way off.

Things are going pretty well right now. Itd been a moment since Ive seen my parents and sister so it was a great week.

Lord knows I owe you for all that chainsaw time you've lent me. If you ever need something cut, you know where to find me. ;)

Now you just need to zero it out and calibrate the squareness. Also, make a zero clearance insert.

I zeroed and squared it last night so thats G2G, but I didn't know about a zero clearance insert. I'll have to look into making one of those.

Thankfully, most of my initial projects will be exterior use stuff like a firewood rack where it doesn't have to be super fancy, and tearout is not a huge concern.

The zero clearance insert helps the little pieces not get stuffed down under the material bed and affect your square.

My saw had a squaring procedure in the manual. But essentially if you have a square, you can look at fence to blade squareness then base to blade squareness and that'd have you set.

Jokes on you, I know exactly where that is.

    27th and West Temple.

I'll happily let you buy me lunch at Philadelphian :)

    WHAT
are you doing some reverse-image-search magic over there or did you actually know the place? And here I thought it was out of the way and small enough to be tricky.

Mmm, Philadelphian. I’m in. Gotta shower to get all the grease off after eating there but it’s worth it.
