weathertech in a manual

it says weathertech floor mats don't fit in trucks with a manual. why wont they fit and has anyone tried putting them in.

 

Just put them in today. needed to cut where the clutch pedal goes to the floor. other than that sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

 

Cut them and they fit GREAT!!!!!!

yes they do

 

i removeed the console and cut 4 small holes where the bolts were and put the mat down then the console on top and rebolted down that way you dont need to cut it

 

yea, they don't fit "FINE" but they fit. Theres a bit of an issue with the dead pedal, but the mat's on the small side so it fits. I went after mine with a heat gun trying to make them lay right. never did.

you don't need to cut the rear mats at all.

mine fit absolutely perfectly. i had to notch it for the clutch pedal but everywhere else is 100% perfect.

 

We never trimmed ours, clutch pedal hits it but no big deal.

 

Haven't trimmed mine, don't know what you guys are even talking about. 3 years and 25,000 miles, no issues.

 

you didn't have to trim for your clutch pedal? i find that hard to believe. it prevents an incredible amount of travel if you don't.

Not by much, but it did bother me with feel of it so I trimmed.

 

yup, that looks alot like the trimming I did. Make sure you trim enough off though, I didn't the first time I trimmed them and my clutch pedal got caught on the edge of the map, scared the hell out of me since it got stuck shifting into 5th on the freeway.

I just trimmed the Weathertech not the pedal. Have had no problem in 2 years. The clutch did get hung up on the Weathertech a couple of times B 4 I trimmed it.

 

That looks good! I am glad to see there is a way of making them fit.

 

Yes, with a little modification, as others have said.

I started out by removing the center console, and making holes for the bolts to pass through... however I have now cut the Weathertech along the outer edge of the center console, so I can remove the rear mat quickly to wash etc.

 

On my 07 with weathertecs I bought in 08 there is no interference. The clutch pedal has probably 1.5 inches of clearance at maximum extension. My weathertecs don't look like your guys'.
