Many a bottom bracket has fallen to such conditions. Didn’t know you raced! What type of bikes were you using?

I've gone deep (water over the tires) a few times. The only issue I've had is needing to rebuild the starter a couple of weeks later.

Ive gone through similar. Maybe alittle more muddy and a little longer. I had some water over the hood at 1 point. If I didnt have rear lockers I never would of made it. Anyway only damage was a belt, pully and the clutch fan.

King shocks, Deaver rear leaf springs, Cab mount relocation, Howe TC Pump, 315/75/17, Outgear tilted rear bumper, Tune Outdoor M1 camper, Coastal Offroad Extreme Clearance front bumper & skids (aluminum), Cali raised kick out sliders, Alphaequipt carbon air intake (color matched) Clazzio leather seat covers, Sound Deadening, Dual battery
Weak points for water is something like this low to high:
    Ball joints
Top of the rear diff (breather can be extended)
    Fan
Alternator (probably getting splashed by the fan)
    Cab/lower door seals
    Misc electrical connections
    Air intake

Front facing snorkel will actually collect more dust than stock Tacoma intake.

This is the only snorkel I would run, but not on my DD Tacoma. Even with a snorkel, taco is not really meant for water crossings above the doors. Just look how low the alternator sits in the engine bay.

Rule of thumb I have used, depending on vehicle, if lifted no deeper than 2" below tire height. If stock, get out and test depth. At knees - go slow, and you'll be OK. If balls get wet, find another route.

Warning: my knees are calibrated to 24". This does not apply to those under 5'5" in height, or have no balls. Your results my vary. Deciding to use "just send it" may cause damage not covered under warranty. Side affects can and may include vomiting, shortness of breath, anal seepage, or blindness.

    Work in progress...
The new RZR Pro starts at 45,000 on paper. You are not going to be able to buy one for that price.
