I spent 2 days of my "kid free" time this long weekend organizing the garage. Feels great once it's done. Lots of work and stress doing it though. Cheers!

Thanks. We're very happy with the install and the output of the new systems. Both of these cost more than we initially wanted to spend, but energy prices likely won't ever go down so we opted to spend more on the high efficiency units. From start to finish, it took them three full days to remove the old systems and install the new ones. They took their time and were very methodical. They also removed a lot of old copper piping in this area and installed a lot of new copper piping and then new thermostats for the three zones.

 

It helps if the garage is a decent size otherwise it's an ongoing shuffle project for as long as you own the house. I keep throwing things out, donating, moving them around and then buying more stuff, so it doesn't seem much difference. Next house will definitely have a larger garage.

 

Yup. Im really starting to realize and feel this and I've only been in my house with a 1 Car 12'x19' garage for a year and a half. Throw a garage remodel in and it makes it even worse! I just started ripping old shit drywall down to put new up and eventually paint and its been and will continue to be a constant shuffle from wall to wall until i make it fully around. I dont plan on replacing all the drywall, but there's a ton of spots that need to be sanded/spackled, A LOT of seams/seamtape protruding through that have never been spackled in properly from the old homeowner that i need to take off and redo. I really should of refinished this before i moved in but i had other areas of the house to focus on to be move in ready so now itll be a constant shuffle until completion.

 

i've never used more than 1/4 can of primer. but its always empty by the end of the project!

i really wish they made it in a 'dark oak' finish. would make for a nice distressed look on everything i spill it on!

 

The Home Depot canceled my order this morning. Said they didn’t have the item in stock.

Went with the competition across the street and opted for a Delta faucet instead. Stainless.

 

Might not need a second coat. SW Emerald line covers pretty well.

That's the one I've got... installed in '11 and still going strong.

 

Honestly for durability you want 2 coats. I know that paint is expensive, but 2 coats of a new color are always what I recommend.

I could have almost got away with 1 coat in my kitchen being a little more careful in my rolling process, but went with 2 just for piece of mind.

 

Check when its dry but ive yet to use a true 1 coat paint.

Super foggy, but 68 degrees luckily. After months of waiting, our windows are getting installed. All 29 of them. I’m so glad it’s not me

 

For the PEX-A guys in the group; can this be touching up against copper piping that’s used for heat registers? I have some running along it and don’t want it to melt
