Just got a 2011 stock Tacoma, access cab 4x4 128000 miles. I know the guy I bought it from and through the purchasing process found out he's even more anal than I thought but, he's an idiot. Sorry, that's not woke!
I am going to put 3500 miles on it soon to get a topper and pick up some stuff from the US. We live in Baja. Hoses are good. Tires look good. This isn't an off road trip except for the 30 miles to get to pavement from our house. Stretches of 200 miles between parts. Question is what spare parts should I be taking?

What do you mean by he's anal and an idiot?

To ease your mind, though, while I was in Tech school in San Antonio in 2020, my parents found an 07 with 175k miles on it back home in Florida. I bought it through my parents and after putting new tires on it, my parents drove it straight through from Florida to Texas and a few months later I drove it to my first duty station in California. I have since driven it to my new home in Minnesota. Never broke down, never needed spare parts. I personally always made sure to have a 5 gal. gas can filled up with me on long drives and I always carry a tire repair kit, pliers, ratchet and socket set, zip ties, portable air compressor (small 12v but it gets the job done), rope, etc etc. I'm sure there's dudes with stories of having to replace a whole motor on the side of the road but as long as your truck was well taken care of and you've done a good once or twice over, you should be totally fine. But, that's my opinion from my experience.

Only thing I’d be packing is some snacks. You don’t need any spares other than a tire.

What flo said and maybe spare belts. Don't over think it. I went all over Baja in my 99 Taco. Extra gas was the only thing I used. Started the trip with 198,000... I carried an extra fuel filter, still have it. Mexico gas is pretty good these days.

I'm about 100 miles off of rolling 200k when I checked a day or two ago...

Thanks everyone. Just wanted to check if there was something other than what was mentioned I should pick up before I go.

Flo! Anal is good when it comes to maintenance. Partly why I bought the truck from him. It turned out to be absolutely annoying when I found out he had no common sense dealing with the actual purchase.
