Is that why you want a dealer to instal? If not, I think @Tonymontana is for hire and does great work! I’ve never had him do anything but have seen the cmc and recently he helped @DetroitDarin with his bumper.

@Tonymontana is a guy I most-certainly would trust with my $ for quality work. And he cares, too.

Yes I might see if he can help. But my truck is brand new and expensive. I may have to go through the dealer so as to make sure my TSS works the way it should. If I did not have to worry about the TSS issue. Lifting my truck would be a lot easier.

I hear you on that one. My light comes on every once in a while with clean sensor. It goes away once I turn my truck off then back on.
Added to this I have a cheap(er) knock off pro grill and sensor cover.

Search in TW some more about that lift. I think a few dealers disabled the fog lights when putting on that lift. I don’t remember reading why though.

I’ve now installed three lifts on 3rd Gens… my Sport and two OffRoads. All with 2”+ of lift and never once had a TSS sensor issue. I’m not trying to shy you away… but truth be told, that kit is worthless. And the dealer is going to bend you over on labor. Do your research. Maybe 2% of lifted Tacos with TSS are using that kit. There are so many better options out there for a third of what you’re going to shovel out.

We’ll be truthful I would like to do Bilstein 5100s all the way around. 2 inch lift or AAL or blocks for rear. I want to keep the Limited Grill if possible. But what I read on here. My TSS lights will come on for sure. Good chance my TSS will not work also. Did you replace your grills and relocate your sensor each time?

I’ve seen it rarely where someone has an issue. Maybe reach out to @memario1214 and ask on his customers experience with the 5100s installed.
Though, do what you are comfortable with. Just because we’ve not had issues does not mean you won’t. It should be unlikely that you have issues but there are always outliners to everything.
I had the pro grill on before my lift. Like I said my sensor does give an error once in a while that it needs to be cleaned. Starting the truck clears it regardless if I have cleaned it or not. Mine still works as it has come one once or twice in a situation when someone stopped after starting to accelerate at a light and me. Or paying attention.
    Just my 2 cents

This really surprises me. I'm willing to bet you got a few lemons. That really sucks dude. I've had my denso reman alternator in since Aug of 21 and it's still going strong. I wouldn't use anything other than Denso but that's just me personally. I've had good results with all of their products so far.

So today my friend and I knocked out replacing my license plate bezel on my rear hatch. Took about 2 hours, some red bull, some bad words and patience. And ingenuity. But it got done and looks a hell of a lot better than before.

Now does anyone wanna do my starter? I got the bottom bolt removed yesterday but I can't seem to get the top one. I've watched many YouTube videos and I just can't get it to turn. To all you 3rd gen 4runner owners lemme know!

I need to decide on the spring perch. Either get one made or use a wheel spacer that will fit.

The issue with the wheel spacers is they have holes in them. I’m not sure if it’ll really be a problem since those are supposed to be pretty strong but maybe not meant for that type of force.

Did I ask if anyone here works at a machine shop?

    Anyone else do this?

Me: Sees a Tacoma with great looking tires, big tires. Thinks "Dang, I want tires that size on my truck! Those look way better"
Me: Asks the owner what size tires he has.
    Owner: blahblahblah/blahblah/blah
Me: (doing math...) Uh...that IS what size tires I have on my truck. Weird.

I have definitely done that at least once. Speaking of tires, my 33’s are on
