What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It's the Yakima Overhaul rack. It's height adjustable too. The only con I found so far is that the Yakima MaxTrax mounts sit very tight next to the vertical bars. I tried to maximize the length between the bars but I can only go so much due to the bed rail length. Anyway, I am not too worried about it right now because for now they sit ok and eventually I will move the Maxtrax to my spare tire once I have the bumpers.

 

Finally finished up my ARB single compressor install. Ran an air line and coupler to the back of the truck, next to the license plate. Did a quick little mod; added a light bar in the "hood scoop". Used the same as @ClassyTacos had in an old video. Not overly impressed with the brightness of the light, but it was an easy mod. Lastly, upgraded/modified a spare air tank. Plan to use it with the onboard air as a "reservoir." It was cheap, it works like it's supposed to.

@TacoYankee At least the fake air damn has a function now and there is the cool factor.

 

Can’t take credit for the original idea, but the price was so much cheaper then the pre made options I had to do it. Going to put a fire extinguisher on the other side, going to take a little planning because I don’t have the cubby over there but I think I can do it with the extra pieces left over. Actually I wonder if I could add the cubby?

 

I averaged 22mpg for this drive today. 23 Sport 4x4 with 17" Wildpeaks.

 

2nd gear "chirp" today

I do have the KD MAX tune and today I needed to get out of a bad situation and I floored it while in 1st gear. When it hit second gear I actually got a little "chirp" from the back left tire!

Glad to hear that you were able to get out of that bad situation. I had a similar thing happen to me on my daughter's birthday. We were all in my truck and crossing traffic slowly (traffic stopped to let us cross) when a large Chevy SUV was travelling fast in the shoulder lane- trying to get past traffic. I had to floor it to get through the intersection before he hit us. It was very close, but my truck was able to beat the SUV by a fraction of a second. My wife even said "thank God your truck is tuned". There was no hesitation when I floored it. I got a dashcam after that and still hate thinking about how bad it could have been.

Fucking possums trying to steal my old off road shocks. Had to snag him by the tail after he made a break for under my tool box.

 

Dug my truck out of yet another foot+ of snow. This week has seen 6ish feet at my house. Once compacted we’re lookin at 4ft.
