X 2, yikes!

One other one while I'm here. Road tractor came in to get converted to a tri axle dump truck. Found splits in the frame on passenger and driver side, the owner said "yeah I know about that, continue on, I'm getting it fixed after you guys finish the conversion"

Wouldn't it make more sense to fix the frame before the conversion

 

Took my daughter to dance lastnight, son went with us. While she was dancing for an hour and a half Cole and I walked around Lowe's.

Picked her up at 6:00, stopped in Denny's since I had a little left on the gift card she gave me for Christmas and they like it.

When we walked in the 2 waitresses were sitting at a table beside the door and started to argue who was going to wait on us, I had the feeling we should leave but sat down anyway

One of them came over and took our order, I wanted something different and ordered pancakes with bananas and caramel. Simple enough.

About the time we should be getting our food she comes over and tells me they don't have bananas.....or caramel

There's a grocery store right beside them

I ordered something else, finally got it.

Waitress never came back to the table, my drink was empty and so was Cole's, she was sitting at the table beside the door, on her phone.

I got up and walked to the register to pay even though I didn't have a bill.

I left a $3 tip which was $15 too much.

My son, daughter, and myself were the only customers the entire time we were there.....wonder why

I told the kids don't ask me to go back anytime soon.

 

I thought about that when I posted

 

I'm pretty sure he said that he was getting the frame fixed because he knows that he's not going to get the frame fixed and he's willing to push it. But yes, it would be better to get the frame fixed prior to any other conversion therapy that the truck goes under.

Re: poll - anything with beef inside something else = for me. Can’t tolerate hard grizzle. Just writing this is making me queasy….

 

A couple of years ago my wife and I went to Outback around 3pm on a Saturday, there were 2 other customers there. We were seated....thats it. Nobody ever came back. We left after about 15 minutes. I wont go back.

 

Went to a Bertucci’s Pizza years ago. It used to be one of the best chains around. Pretty chaotic and the food was horrible.

The kicker was when the waitress took our card, came back with the bill but without the card. Things got really chaotic then. She argued she gave it to us. Manager, police got involved. Cancelled the card immediately but didn’t stick around to see if she was arrested or not and the police never contacted us afterwards..

 

She..... thought you wouldn't notice? .....

That's the same feeling we have, but it's a bit of a grey area since it's not an area of the frame we will be having any involvement in. We're adding a pusher axle and gravel body, that's it.

We dont have a Denny's close by. We usually like them but some are crappy service.

 

This one has never been know for stellar service, only reason I go is because of the kids. We can make breakfast at home

 

I had something like that play out at a Denny`s years ago never went back.

Why did you leave any tip nothing like rewarding poor service?

I have been known when I receive poor service to stand up and loudly ask does any one have change for a penny. I need to leave a tip.

Quite a different story if the place is packed and they are short help.

 

I'm not thinking that was not the restaurants fault.

That was deliberate sabotage by the help.

Those type of businesses can't get or keep help and the staff knows it.

I don't really expect good service when going to those restaurants. I'm happy with "adequate" service
