I'm the same way. The wife really loves Waffle House, but I think their food is greasy garbage. What I really think is that she loves the idea of Waffle House. That old school dive diner feel that we grew up liking when we were younger. The same goes for Denny's and IHop. As as kid, I loved Dennys and IHop but going in now and tasting their food, its not the same. Maybe my tastes have changed as I grew up but I seem to find more delicious breakfast food from Mom and Pop diners that aren't large conglomerate chains.

If foods good and service is poor and I can tell that the wait staff is being deliberately poor, my tip gets sandwiched between a couple stacked plates. Usually it's bigger. I want the dishwasher to run his mouth about the great tip he/she got.

I used a balljoint press. I triple checked the last one I put in to make sure no needles fell in before I pressed them in. Wish I had a lathe, would've made some custom spacers so the press could only press them exact. Would've made life easier too.

The thing I remember most was the police working the night shift would be having their lunch 5 booths away. They were off the clock and we're completely ignoring our drunken behavior.

    It was a normal thing.

    You were not driving either.

As long as your not causing major problems causing the employees to get involved.

    Why generate more paperwork.

Guy I’ve been doing some welding for just gave me this, if that’s the date it’s from 1946. Works great.
