I'm pretty nostalgic to mid 2000s Toyota, as my dad had a 2009 4Runner Limited when I was growing up, and I want to put the door chime from that era into my Tacoma. I know most cars, that's just a relay under the dash or something, does anyone know if the Tacoma is the same? I'm sure I could buy the part on eBay for pretty cheap.
This is the sound I'm going for

The door chime, turn signals, and all the other bongs are from a speaker on the back of the instrument cluster.

Here's how to access that area:

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Pretty simple mod for those who find the Taco sounds annoying. Thanks for the link.

    You're welcome!

The silence is pretty nice, esp at long traffic lights.

Hello did you ever make any progress on this? I am considering swapping one out too...also for the sake of nostalgia.
