I was under the impression the TRD Pro Bilstein kits could not be rebuilt. Did Bilstein tell you otherwise?

I would love to confirm this as well. I'd always read they were not rebuildable. I have a set on my truck so I'd love if I could rebuild 'em down the road if needed.

The only place I know that rebuilds 6112s and 5160s is down south motorsports, was going to send mine there but going kings instead

I have spoke directly to Bilstein in the US and they claim they are not rebuildable and to contact "TRD".
Now, if @Downsouth Motorsports can confirm they can rebuild the TRD branded suspension, that would be great!

Yeah, my impression was that the regular 6112/5160 were rebuildable (but hard to find someone to do it outside of Bilstein themselves) but that no one (including Bilstein) rebuilds the TRD versions.

I wonder if there’s any differences between the regular versions of these bilstiens and the “TRD” versions aside from the stickers and red springs?

Definitely different valving and different circlip locations. Even the TRD Pro and Baja have different circlip locations. I've never had a set of 6112's in front of me so I can't really say how they may compare though in terms of body dimensions or any features related to rebuildability.

Assuming they will…$500 plus shipping from you, plus $300*2 (front), plus $175*2 (rear) plus shipping to and from Down South… that’s more than a brand new set with warranty. Hm.

And the new set from Toyota includes the shorter bump stops, rear brake line spacer, and rear shock reservoir frame mounts.

Only the front drivers shock needs rebuilt, the others were not leaking at the time of removal and my price is negotiable for those seriously interested. Thanks
