I am running an AMG in Igor. No 100w bulbs yet. But I want to in both Igor and the SX. The LED's in the SX work good actually, but don't melt ice. And Im getting sick of the pure white color.

Well, you might see some benefit then. I very much dislike the 6,000 kelvin color light. 3500-4000 kelvin is much better for seeing, especially in bad weather.

I can't remember what power level those are. I've read that only pro and max run hot enough to keep wet snow from accumulating.

my C2's are Pro's. They are at least as bright as my SS3 sports in Igor. Which is crazy since they are half as big. I don't think there is a max version of the C2, but I haven't been paying attention for a while.

They are bright and at least then didn't ice over. Wasn't a long trip though. But my LED headlights will ice/snow over all the time.

Pros are great. I have a set of SS3s with 4K and clear driving lenses. They are amazing. Maxxes must be insane.

I witnessed @turbodb ss5 6K spots which are maxxes I think. They lit up the side of a mountain a half mile a away. That is nuts.

yeah had a pipe dream of getting 3 of those for the front of Igor. But for $1000...probably not haha

I don't see the point of the Max fogs. they are too bright so that the cut off isn't effective and probably blinds the fuckin shit outa people.

Yeah hopefully by next winter it will be insulated and heated.

You'll be glad you insulated even with blow in. Both the heat/cooling side and for noise. Parents house has batts between the floors and it's nice to not hear the people above (music, tv, ect). Compared to our house with an unfinished basement and you can hear everything between floors lol

Your brother find a 2nd gen @Blackdawg ? We picked up a 4runner this winter and may get rid of ours come spring. Maybe even letting go of the GFC as well

    @Blackdawg

I'm on the fence, good or bad price? Also I'll buy the LED lights and the little relay harness off you when you're done with them on the SX. I just broke another sealed beam haha

Yeah that's another big reason I want to do it. The isolation.

I started drilling holes in my floor yesterday and start second guessing myself a bit haha but that makes me feel better

Well his budget is only 10k so probably not enough for even your 2nd gen. He is looking at frontiers now as that's more in his budget.

    But keep me posted.

What kind of 4runner did you get? Just work better with the kid I imagine?

With the shocks that's not too bad of a price tad high though. No tundra shafts though which is annoying. Potentially expensive too. I'd imagine you have hook ups on that though.

I like the camburg kit though, I runs spherical bearings in the lower control arms where it mounts to the alignment cams. Which helps get rid of a lot of the cross twerking that happens with the bushings that are typically used there. So I've seen in red from multiple people who have that kit that they hold alignments much better because of that. camburg's kit however generally doesn't have quite as much travel at only 13.5 in vs 14-14.5 of others. Pretty minor though.

Yeah, luckily I already made some modified CVs, found out the local junkyard will sell me OEM tundra CVs for $60 and got a couple, bumped the limiting joint cups off on the lathe and rebooted. The amount camburg charges for that is criminal at $800. The spherical lowers were intriguing to me and I liked that the kit comes with gusseted spindles and limit straps, maybe signs it wasn't totally abused. The COs are apart and I see seal kits so I'd guess they need a rebuild. I dunno, I'm torn, not something you see locally that often

Yeah, interior space for the kid. All we had were trucks so it was time to have something more useful.

Exactly what happened to me on today's snowy commute. I wonder if I have some old halogens laying around, I'm kinda over having the extra light.

We do too, been casually looking for one for about a year. Always too far away though, as local interest snags them up before we could get a shot at one.

yeah I mean I would have gotten the Camburg kit probably if not for the MCM kit.

I don't know if you care about the shock brand, can't imagine they suck obviously. And ad says they need a full rebuild but comes with all the stuff. So some labor involved. Which is why I think it's a bit high priced.

Awesome about the CVs, TC and Camburg charge way too much. MCM charges a lot too for it I think. Bu they use OEM axles as part store ones I guess are really not as good.

Oh wow a 3rd gen! Sweet. I was picturing a 4th gen. Another purple one!

    how the lil one doing?

I mean I like the light. Just not the color.

Not being from Wyoming, the wife and I love towing our off road trailer to different states for some off-grid/dispersed camping for a few weeks at a time..............

Lat year we decided to head up to the area around Kurt Gowdy St park. The park was decent jumping off point, but was not our style of camping. What we didnt know is how much dispersed camping Wyoming had! That state has some of THE coolest off grid camping spots we had ever seen. The large open field like areas with giant boulders strewn amongst them were super cool.
The wife and I try to hit a new state each year for our spring trip, but Wyoming so far is one state we both are planning to come back to.

Well you look to have done well. I love the purple Toyotas. I love the imperial jade I have but if purple was an option on 01-04, I would have preferred it.

Wouldn't an easy fix be to apply a tint to the headlight lense to alter the color? I agree the color of pure white is too much. If I could solve the icing issue I would consider putting some amber tint on. But Toyota hasn't figured out the LED/icing problem as my Corolla had the same problem so doubt I am going to have much other than going back to halogens.
