I don’t think it's the regular Tacoma buyers that don’t like Scotty

I find very hard to believe that the average Tacoma buyer wants a turbo. A few enthusiast that came from other junk makes and want more power maybe. These folk maybe used to unreliable vehicles so nothing new to them.

But not to us long time TOYOTA owners, and like Scotty Killer, are cheap and want a long lasting vehicle.

All this support here for turbo boost is not from regular long time TOYOTA owners, but these folks are here with a vested interest, suppliers of this technology and are here to push it

For sure the Ford 5.0, 302, 289, best motors ever made. No way were going to get a version of that engine in this truck. So we have to use what we can get.

Did you know it’s possible to find a YouTube channel that’s entertaining but not 100% factual. That’s his channel.

I think you put it best, you must be fun at parties…not everything has to be serious 100% of the time. ;)

I assume you mean "best motors ever made by Ford". Which isn't even true since you left out the venerable 300ci I6.

Exactly this. I clicked on one of his videos once. I can't give him any more clicks.

I have a 4Runner, and I'm excited about the turbo 4. Better fuel economy and more usable power sounds great to me. I'll gladly take my chances with a turbo 4 over a fake Atkinson engine.

I'm hoping the issues with the Tundra are just 1st year bugs. I have faith in Toyota to build a reliable turbo engine, as some other manufacturers have.

I agree. Just don't go around quoting him thinking his opinion is gospel is my whole point. And, don't tell anyone, I watch youtube myself!

why you think that. the only vehicle that has had any issues is the new Tundra. this is the company that has CVTs that does not have any issues like nissan evem went and made their own unit with mechanical 1st gear. and uses GDI with extra sets of injector to clean the intake. this is also the company that reign supreme in the 80-90 with all their turbos/supercharger cars. so they do know what they are doing the onlty thing is whoever is supplying them with those tundra parts is not up to par.
