    Where are you located?

I have a guy in Frederick that I have been taking my truck to. The shop is simply called Tint and Sound. Sam, the owner, is awesome and his crew are amazing! Recently he installed a JL Audio crossover, a JL 300w amp and a 10” JL StealthBox in my 3rd gen as well as the heritage graphics I ordered from TacoTroopers. They do it all, cars trucks motorcycles even a lot of custom boats! Everything was so neatly wired and hidden that you can’t even tell it’s in there until the turn it up. By far one of the best upgrades yet. And he doesn’t care if you buy from him or not. Most shops won’t install anything they didn’t sell you. I bought my sub and amp myself beforehand, just took it all to him for final pieces and install. I’m sure they would have ZERO problem helping you achieve the look and finish you want!

Made a trip down to Jones Junction today for a free oil change… figured I’d take advantage of the rainy day. Appointment was for 11, got there way too early around 10:30… took the truck right away, was headed home by 11:15. Didn’t try to sell me a thing, just asked if there was anything else I needed. They did forget to close my hood all the way, but that may be due to the hood protector… other than that, no complaints!

I was just in my garage yesterday wondering why my orbital buffer is on my work bench and not up in the attic. Now I remember why. Its available anytime you need it.

That’s right! I remember that now. Thank you for going through the trouble to get it though my mother in law ended up getting me one for Christmas. She also got me a creeper/stool combo.

Wife nixed my snorkel plan… convinced me I didn’t really want to cut a hole in the fended just yet.

My wife talked me out of a Bilstein lift for the time being. Perhaps both of our wives are wrong?

    I’d agree with that!

Maybe you can get Kings instead of the bilsteins thanks to your wife lol.
I didn’t like that they need to be rebuilt every 50k or so miles.

Any idea what a King kit was set me back? I was unaware of the 50K rebuild on the Bilsteins. I want a minimal height increase with a level front.

Sorry, I meant the kings had a rebuild interval. I think Bilstien are supposed to be good for lifetime or offer lifetime warranty.
I think Kings would be somewhere 3-3.5K depending which ones you get. @AccuTune Offroad would be able to give a better estimate. They’ll also tune them for your truck.

Im so ignorant about lift kits. I definitely dont want to have to rebuild every 50K. I am still leaning toward a simple 5100 kit. I tried to buy the TRD kit that was posted on FB marketplace last week in Va. Someone posted it on this page. I contacted the guy and was second in line for it. The first guy bought it. Considering my "off roading" is fire roads when I fish and the occasional romp at my brothers place in W.Va. I get overwhelmed reading about different kits. Here is what I am really looking for: something that will give me a level look, decent ride and maybe it comes with a sticker.

The lack of needing a rebuilt is one reason I went with Ironman. With what you want the Bilstien or possibly Eibach might work best for you.
I think @JennJenn has the 5100 kit on her truck. Maybe she’ll chime in with how she likes them
Then @AR15xAR10 has the Bilstien 6110 kit on his. I think that’s going from like 500 to 1500. You do get adjustable front in both kits too.

I've got 5100s all around with the extended length B110s on the rear. My fronts are set at the 0 clip with OME 886 coils. I also have an Icon RXT leaf pack on stage 2. My "offroading" sounds about the same - farm roads, forest service roads, fire roads, etc. I'm very happy with my setup for my use. It's all quality parts and is pretty affordable. Anything more would be overkill for me.

I have the Toytec/Bilstein lifts on 2 of my trucks, no complaints here. Even up here on the mountain with these "washboard" dirt gravel roads my Bilsteins have held up great.
