Ok I'm stuck 2014 Tacoma 2.7 no tow package...

Yesterday I installed some LED side markers and I lost power to the following (and yes the dimmer switch isn't turned to lowest setting):

Exterior not working: side markers, licence plate lights, tail lights (braking and turn signals work)

Interior: the ONLY lights that work are my speedometer, radio, map and dome lights, door window switches.

Nothing else on the interior comes on i.e. shifter display, temperature back lights, mirror adjustment buttons, ECT button.

Edit... The 10A fuse in interior for tail is blown, I replaced it and it blows again. Nothing in engine fuse box is blown

I removed the left lights last night and replaced with the incandescent ones.

Just pulled the tail lights and there isn't any wire damage that I can see

Are you 100% sure the TAIL light fuse is not blown?
Double check, then we can go from there.

What did you tap into when installing side markers. The last thing to be messed with is usually the culprit.

    LED side markers.
Which is on the same circuit (tail fuse) as the interior lights that don’t work.

We can only wait and see what OP says.

The tail 10a fuse is in fact blowing. Replaced it again for kicks and giggles and it blows.

I didn't tap into anything for the side markers, plugged into factory plug.

I removed the LED bulbs last night after noticing this and replaced it with the regular bulbs.

Installed new headlight housing, plugged head lights, parking/turn bulbs, then side markers in and that's when I noticed the side markers weren't coming on and the rest of the said lights weren't working

Sounds like you have a short somewhere.
You’re going to need voltage meter, or even better, test light to find it.

Just to be clear, everything is back to “stock” now?
Just like it was before you added the marker lights?

I don't know if it applies here but polarity may matter. When I was doing the map light mod I blew a fuse or two. I switched the polarity on my bulbs and it stopped blowing fuses.

I literally used the exact same bulbs (headlight and parking/turn) that I had in previous housing, they were also LED.

The issue didn't happen till I put in the new LED for side marker as that was the only one incandescent.

I checked the lights after installing each set.

I'll have to pick up a test light to give it a shot.

My tester will be here tomorrow.

I actually tried unplugging all the lights in the headlight housing, replacing the fused and it still blew...

Now I'm kinda thinking it's nothing to do with the headlight area lights as the fuse blew with none of them plugged in.

Checked out the tail lights, not visible damage to the wires or connectors
