Crazy things. Drove to grocery store. Grabbed stuff walked out truck won’t start. It has a new battery and turns over strong. Haven’t had a chance to look at it at all since it was dark and had to tow it home. Just wanted maybe some suggestions of what to check first
    Thanks everyone

Possible fuel pump if never been changed. That is how my last fuel pump took a dump. I got lucky and a couple whacks with a hammer got it going so I could get it home. NEVER go cheap on a new one, the labor isn't worth the savings if you have to do it again.

I should give a little more info. I’ve owned the truck for 7 years. I’ve put 40k miles on it. It now has 307k. Has been very reliable but just did battery. Plugs. Fuel filter. Oil and filter and also air filter two months ago. But other than maintenance stuff I haven’t done any major replacement of anything.

How easy is fuel pump relay to check? And is it located under the hood? Also easiest way to check fuel pump? I’ve never heard it run

What year and engine is a big help

First step is to always pull and codes . They can point in the correct direction.

These pumps only energize when cranking and with the engine running.

The circuit opening relay is in the dash kinda above the steering wheel. The EFI relay sends the voltage to the ECM that goes to the contact on the Circuit opening relay then on to the fuel pump.

    Good Luck.

Truck has spark and starts with starting fluid. I dropped the tank and the fuel pump isn’t responding when I try run it directly off of battery.
tank is a pain in the ass getting out lol
