    I am very interested in how your build comes along, I am sure it is going to be done right, and with all the creature comforts. I just don’t think I’m ready to take that wiring project on yet, and i think if I hold out, there might be a company that starts making harnesses for LS swaps in our trucks. Lol yeah good call on the clutch, if I go the built engine route it looks like I’d be going down that road yet again. I think a custom twin disc setup could be done though. Wouldn’t be cost effective by any means though haha. I haven’t ruled out a IPT built A340F either though if I continue to have clutch problems and can’t find a solution.

    I’ve said it before but you really should start a build thread to keep track of everything. It would be a great resource for others wanting to swap their trucks in the future.

    Ok I will if it turns out good enough. But I really need to go back to when and how I found & purchased the 07. Hell Robert if it wasn’t for you I would probably still be siphoning water meth into the supercharger! You guys should know I really don’t know crap about half this stuff but I am trying to learn. I have learned the hard way sometimes it’s cheaper to pay someone w/ skills and knowledge than to pay for it twice. And again if it turns out I will. Plus they do make a wiring harness it’s made by Painless and others. Then GM ECU’s can be turned w/ the help from HP tuners and others unlike Toyota. According to the gentleman who doing the install there will be two ECU’s and OBD2 ports. One for the Toyota and one for the GM part then a few wires connecting the two. Besides Robert there are 3 members here including @shapagna and his thread below; 6.0 taco now!
    Who have done this that I know of and probably more we need to discover.
    Torspd, you really should do another truck with a turbo LT and your building skills it would be insane!!
    But the biggest problem for you would be having enough brakes! Unless someone building 8 piston brakes w/ 15” carbon rotors. :D

    You're right. They do operate at different pressures. I cant remember the exact PSI for the GM pump but it produces more than the Toyota pump. You fix this with a power steering control valve. Jegs and Summit have some fancy adjustable ones.

    Thanks guys‼️ I was just reading @munkeywrench reply and looking at the Summit website!
    This is all I found. Summit search engine can be difficult to navigate sometimes!

    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mch-p306

    Either of you to Gentlemen have a link or know the difference in pressure between the two systems?

    Edit #1 I found this

    https://www.scramspeed.com/products/gm-lsx-steering-pump-pressure-reduction-kit.html

    #2 from Summit… Looking for GM and Toyota PS pumps to see if I could find any number differences. I can’t find any confirmed numbers but this was posted on a re-man pump listed

    …. Press-Fit Pulley, Standard-Volume, Pontiac, Toyota, Each… I’m lost…

    Contacted @tacotuner06 to ask about his setup. He explained he had no issues for the year he ran a GM pump with a Tacoma rack but suggested I contact this company;
    https://jdfabrication.com/
    Oh My God what a great guy I spoke with! He said that the GM pump w/ the Yoda rack should actually work better but he referred me to the offroad power steering gurus at;
    http://www.howeperformance.com/
    Oh My God even more great guys. The gentleman at Howe performance said that there will be no issues he said it should actually be better. He said to absolutely be sure to use a 5/16” high pressure line going from the pump to the rack and a 3/8” return line. I asked if running a 3/8” magnetic, in-line transmission filter, and a small oil cooler would be ok. He said even better, he then reminded me about the two sizes of tubing to and from. So I’m guessing that must be really important.

    So I guess that settles this mystery unless someone else cares to chimes in?

    Man, idk I am really starting to like the 2TR. It’s like a baby 2JZ lol. Super responsive when you throw some boost at it.

    Really can’t beat the v8 sounds, but I don’t think I can jump ship yet either.. who knows though, once you get your swap done, it might get me motivated to do something crazy

    yeah I can understand that. There’s a lot of things I’ve changed in my truck even being like I’ll recoup a bunch when I sell the old parts off…and I still have those parts….lol

    Not to be bad influence but I'm pretty sure you can bolt on an R150 bell housing which opens up a lot adapter options

    Well Shit that’s over before it started! :pout:

    Now from the beginning I first stumble across the trans I wanted so badly and I told myself if I ever found the trans I wanted for a good price I would have an LS swap done. Now that I lucked into the trans I figured I should look for an installer. Tremec stopped production on the trans and it sold out within months.
    I then started looking for an installer and found a gentleman. So when he said he did installs I asked him a few questions then asked “So can I ask what do you get for “Labor” plus parts and materials per hour or job? He told me $$$$ to $$$$ for labor per the job. So I figured it would be the max because of installing an exhaust and a TrueTrac for the job and I could swing that.
    Now that I’ve asked hundreds of questions and purchased $1000’s in parts and I figured I have about 85 to 90% of the parts after purchasing a 06 aluminum 5.3 L33 engine having it refreshed with some up grades. Purchased 04 Vette accessories in place of the truck, purchased a very clean 06 Trailblazer SS manifold, purchased a drop in rad, new starter, serviced the injectors, a CNC kit to move the alternator below the power steering like @tacotunner06 has. Now everything on the engine will be new or refreshed, new WP w/ thermostat, belts, bellhousing, new twin disc clutch, headers, all 304 straight & bend tubing, two cats, 3 Magnaflow’s, V-bans, 02 sensors & bungs, plugs & wires, break in oil & filter, Yada Yada Yada (most everything you’ll need before, placing the engine in place) I’m sure I forgot to mention and or purchase something!

    Now I text saying I will be coming this weekend to drop off the truck. He then asks for $$,000 in cash or a check. I’m thinking WTF I know he wants $$$$ in labor but where’s is he coming up with another $6,500 for parts! No Way‼️ He said no that’s for just “Fabication” I don’t know how much the parts are yet.
    Wait a minute I asked you for your labor price. He said that is my labor price fabrication is another thing. He said yes I get $800 to make the drive line and the same for the motor mounts plus at least another $400 plus for transmission mount/s.
    So that ends before it started. I guess I’m lucky I found out before I dropped it off. :evil:
    So I will try to keep saving up and looking. God i wish I had the tools, skills & abilities. :sadviolin:

    So my apologies to all. Carry On Gentlemen Carry On.
