Those happen to be the highest-graded piece of gear in my metric The key is to mitigate how disasters 'not having it' might be.

 

You ever just stand there and think to yourself of the mistakes that you made in the past. 2years ago I could've bought this 5.5acre property that's equipped with well, a new septic & electric and it touches my land for $20k. I mentioned it on here and my Fb page so at least someone I knew would buy it and a good friend jumped on the deal, but I still kick myself for not buying it myself. Dog & I are hiking on it now.

I just pulled the trigger on a 6112/5160 kit from Hotshot Offroad. Colton is a really nice guy to deal with. Pre assembled with a ready lift 1" block for the back. Out the door for $1600. I am ok with that. Who wants to help me put it on my truck?

 

I can possibly help out! A lot of removing and reinstalling things. Not sure if the leaf pack need to come apart for the block though.

Colton told me tell you thanks for the referral. Shouldn't be too bad of a job considering I have a compressor and an impact gun, plus the fronts are pre assembled.

 

Hotshot OR sells them with the top hats as part of the package. Did you install yours yourself? Any tips?

 

I’ve swapped out my springs leaving the top hats installed. Pretty easy if you take your time. The “dangerous” part is taking it apart. Good news for you, it’s only the east part you need to do. The truck will act as the spring compressor.

I did mine myself on the truck. I couldnt get the 6112s in an 05-15 part number from Colton, but he got me my 5160s.

I did the jack under the LCA method, and I took zero photos because I was by myself and it was super sketchy. The 6112s are BEEEFY.

 

Now that I have access to a spring compressor, I wouldnt hesitate to buy them like this again. However, having someone assemble them and ship them to you assembled is fantastic. @HeadStrong Off-Road did the assembly on my 5100s way back when and that was fantastic

 

I have a wall mounted strut spring compressor but Toytec sold me my kits assembled. Being assembled definitely made it a easier process.
