I’ve been told directly by manufacturers that it’s emission related, why would revs hang for up shifts? You don’t blip up.

It’s for cat temps and combustion temps. Not shifting.

The truck doesnt know if you are upshifting or downshifting. But its there to try and help the driver.

Just the same way you will see throttle by wire throttle bodies try to add some throttle when slipping the clutch so you dont stall.

That’s my point, it makes no sense as up shifts require a drop, which is the complaint.

Google rev hang see what you find.

Installed a Pop n Lock,,That's it !..Bone stock
Truck is an 05...If the great comments above does not help, perhaps cleaning the throttle body and changing the idle air control valve...If high mileage you may have a lot of carbon on the throttle body and the IAC as well...

The 'hang' sounds normal to me but when I'm in 6th gear, running 80mph, I'm turning about 2,800 rpms.
The 3,000 at 70 sounds high to me. I have a 2014 TRD OR, V6, six speed manual.
