Yeah. I had a 1996 Stratus V6. What a damn mistake. I shoulda bought a 1st Gen. Massive lesson that was finally learned.

Most of us already have tacomas, not exactly your target audience to get a buyer.

If one good, two must be better? Quantity discounts on mods?

If an enthusiast forum isn't a good place to buy or sell said item, I don't know what is.

Not sure what these times are for. I googled and got a number that seems a little too fast

Yikes. That does seem a bit too quick.

Even with the average being a 6sec truck, like the GM twins, it isn't really making me feel that anyone of them is truly fast for a utility machine.

I really need to try out Draggy some time, but this was back in early 2019 just before I got tuned using the Torque app. I would like to get solid 1/4mi, but for these, I lifted.

Definitely. From the post just above the one that you quoted:

The Syclone was the beast when I was a kid. Saw a few of those and the Typhoons rolling around western PA.

Because all that stimulus and internet money has dried up!

Honestly, Free rides are over and folks are reassessing their finances.

    Buy high
    Sell low
    Haha

Seen some nice RTT’s, but those Instagram likes don’t cover the payment.

LOL, I think you're right. I just looked it up. MSRP for my truck w/ TRD OR, 6MT, etc. was $26K. At the time (Sept. 2021) I was just looking for a truck & going by (inflated) used prices. Didn't even bother checking MSRP. Not greatly concerned though, since at the time there's no way I could have gotten a comparable brand-new 3rd gen V6 TRD OR AC 6spd for $25K.

+1 to this. Had a very bad taste when I purchased a used Tacoma from a dealership. I was head over heels due to it being 6MT, TRD Sport 4x4 for the h0oD scoop, dcsb, white, etc. Then as time went on and I started modding it, taking it out to places, I was never able to get good clearance on almost-stock tires and the frame was warped/out of shape. Sold it to Carmax for the price I bought it at. I may be back in a tacoma in the future, but I'm also looking at the new gen Tundra and 2500 Rams once the market settles... Currently in a GX470 I bought for real cheap from an old person.

Not gonna lie, I like my 2014 AC V6 Trd OR w/ the 6sp -- but I get a little bit of a complex when I see the 2500HD duramax RAM 4x4s drive by. I can't pull but 5K-ish pounds max in my Taco.

    A. Glances at a local Craigslist search.
    B. Notices several used Tacomas for sale.
    C. "Wow, people everywhere are dumping their Tacomas!"

Must be giant illogical leap to completely baseless conclusion Friday!

Tacoma's are the AK-47 of the truck world, after the initial hype wears off that reality sets in for a lot of new Tacoma owners.

What initial hype? everyone knows that the tacoma is a slow, outdated and extremely fuel inefficient mid size truck.

    And what's the reality?
