So now that I'm into my house, I'm looking at getting back into a Tacoma... Don't have a lot of money so $8000 is about my limit, could you guys check out these ads and let me know what ya think?

    I need something mechanically reliable...

    2000 Tacoma SR5 with 200,000 miles
    http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&nid=443&tab=list/view&ad=3906312

    1996 Tacoma SR5 with 167,000 miles
    http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&nid=443&tab=list/view&ad=3900381
Looked into this one quite a bit, said he'd take $7500

K now these 2 are a bit out of my price range but with taxes coming i might be able to swing it... Thoughts?

2001 Tacoma Bumpers sliders locker gas shocks 175,000miles $8500
    http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=733005&nid=443&tab=myads/view&ad=3792901

    1999 Tacoma TRD Supercharged 6inch lift 159,000 miles $8999
    http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=733005&nid=443&tab=myads/view&ad=3796702

Thanks guys! Hopefully I'll be a loving Tacoma owner again one day

i like the 1996 better. less miles, nice interior and exterior, not to big a lift, and the v6. i would try and talk him down a bit but its engine really isnt even broken in! good luck

I personally think that the '96 is the better deal. The other one that has a freshly rebuilt motor sounds to me like the guy got the motor fixed and wants to get rid of it while he can before something else goes wrong with it. Just cause a vehicle is newer doesn't always mean they are better. The '96 looks pretty tight to me, but I would definatly want to check it out pretty good! Good luck!

Have you run a car fax check on these 2 trucks? I am wondering why that silver one is missing fender flares on one side only.
