When is a Toyota Tacoma not a Toyota Tacoma? It's when a Test Station reports it's a Honda Oddessy!

The first inspection was with Temporary Tags.

More fun to get this sorted out (I cannot get it registered due to being reported as a Honda).

I’d tell the water company to go pound sand. That’s over 14,000 gallons a day. There should be water pooling everywhere. Interesting to see what they bill you. Do you notice any change in your water pressure? If that much water is being diverted your pressure in your home should be about zero. It’s not even my problem and I hate your water company.

Lots of luck dealing with the government bureaucrats on this. There are so many jokes I could make regarding your Toyota changing to a Honda but I don’t want to have the ban hammer come down. Good luck changing your Honda back to a Toyota. Not easy but I’m just going to shut my mouth.

A little something every chance we get.
If it's freezing, where is the huge tower of ice sculpture? If not, you should have (4) 16'x32' swimming pools, with deep ends like mine! THAT doesn't evaporate inside a week!!!

Only in Texas! Hope it's not as much fun as dealing with the Tex Tag bunch! They make the State look positively fantastic!

Simple solution, just tell them it's a Toyota Tacoma that identifies as a Honda Odyssey, I'm sure they will understand!

That sure sounds like a major leak Travlr, that's a lot of water. I would certainly question the amount of water that leaked, there should be a lot more evidence of it than you are describing.

Sorry for the water problem. It looks like the leak, if there is one, is between the meter and the home. Where I live that would be the responsibility of the homeowner. The current cost to fix the problem, where I live, is anywhere from 8 to 10K. There is a backhoe involved with the repair. If the leak is under my concrete slab the cost would be even greater. Did the city replace your meter and did that fix the problem?

Good morning. Another uneventful dasy planned. Up early so I am off to the gym for a quick cardio and stretching session.

    That's a double rainbow -- cool!

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/snowbirds. My son's family gave us gift certificates for custom-made pillows this past Christmas. They arrived yesterday. Not bad, not bad at all. Glad I wasn't paying for them though! I need to hack up some more kindling today, otherwise it's pick-a-chore from the chore list. Or maybe a hot toddy and a good book by the fire...

    Morning all:

I've seen a double rainbow on occasion Ken, definitely something cool to see!

A guy told me that I have a driver's side reverse light out on the Tacoma, looks like taking care that will be my todays project along with charging a bunch of rechargeable batteries for the coyote caller.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, the water leak is just a connection drip, nothing serious. But I didn't have any glue that was good, or the needed sleeves and threads. And it was cold and ugly, just like today. And I just putzd. So, I'll go run an errand in a while, put up the new smoke detectors, and leave the pipe for a sunny day. Then, I'll watch some football, and make burgers.

The guys that came yesterday with a track-hoe were waiting for Blue Stakes to mark underground utilities to begin digging. After unloading the hoe they came to the door to say they were leaving and would come back if I'd call them once the underground utilities had been marked, claiming the Blue Stakes guys had been called long before and were very late. The people doing the marking, planting flags and spray painting, literally drove up as the equipment crew pulled away. So I called them and they said there were more people that would need to mark stuff. The people doing the marking said they had just gotten the call to mark, literally just around the corner and had arrived minutes from getting their first call. Somebody is playing games. In any case the people doing the marking said there was nothing left to mark once they were done because everything else was either overhead or across the road. The equipment guys never returned as they said they would, leaving their hoe in our driveway. We'd had a little discussion about how working past 5 would be overtime and the company would charge more... and they said they'd be back today, Saturday. So this morning I texted (texting leaves a legal trail) and asked if working today would mean being charged for overtime. According to my insurance man the policy I have covers supply lines to the house so I should be covered... but who knows until I have something from the insurance company and I doubt they would pay extra for Saturday work. I told them if it was overtime they would have to wait until Monday, so now we are without water for the weekend. Kind of a cluster.... but whatchya gonna do?

It's a meter or stop valve issue, since no water leak is evident. Water service line to the house can be pressure tested in place without excavation at the house. One excavation at the street will be needed to find the problem... meter, stop valve, connections, etc., and should not be your expense.

:spy: Where is everybody? By this hour there are usually a half dozen posts. Anyway...

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/missing persons. It's going to be a real stinker around here today, "wintry mix" in the forecast. Supposedly the rest of the stuff is arriving for the 90K service on the convertible, so maybe I'll start in on that. And also keep a good fire going in the woodstove! Days like this go right through me.
