That may work out sometimes. But I tried REALLY hard to stay with Farmers. The best they could do was drop my coverage and raise deductible to get close to Geico. I insured our Q5 and Macan for what I was paying for just the Q5. Kept the FJ at the time with Farmers for the house bundle.

I get the loyalty benefits concern. I haven’t paid a deductible in probably 20+ years, so it’s a benefit that I haven’t been able to take advantage of. I guess I’ve been lucky and haven’t needed to make a claim. I’ve had a repair or two, but not on my claim.

Wow, I didn't know that about metal roofs? I'm eventually going to be building, and thought of a metal roof, but I'll have to check into insurance?!

    Sorry about your mom, btw.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
With USAA for a long time in GA with no accidents and they have my homeowners insurance too. My rate on all of the policies creeps up every year.

Tooooo many UN-insured people in the SE (FL & GA) that have wrecks with insured people.

Stuck in VT and Chew like this.

It's all good. Senseless to argue or debate. Glad you have a career you enjoy. I'm not upset with my decision to change. Progressive helped me out in the mid 90's after a DUI. Expensive, but the only insurance company that would cover DUI's. I've had them all and as soon as my rates start going up, I used to switch. Just had a rough 5 years and forgot about how to play the game.

    Thank you!

I forgot to mention, I'm in Florida and our legislators really stuck it to us making laws to protect insurance companies from Questionable roofers and insurance fraud. It might not be bad in other states but right now in Florida, trying to find anyone to cover homeowners will be difficult.

I've been in the insurance business for most of the last 40 years. Rates never go down. Have you had any tickets or claims?
Call some independent agencies and add a homeowners policy if applicable.
My 21 Tacoma only cost $100 more per year than the 08 Dakota due to safety features.
Stay away from the call center companies.
