Anyone on here running a spacer lift? Any gen is fine. Just want to see what they look like. If you aren’t running them, please don’t put a message. Just want to see the look of them and don’t need to hear how “bad” they are. Putting a 3 inch on my taco soon! Thanks guys.

I like mine, just something to give me a little more clearance until I get bilsteins. 2” rough country spacers.

They are a great alternative for mall crawlers, posers and grocery getters - without a detailed pic, who knows?

A truck with a 3” suspension lift looks the same regardless of how you got there.

Only looking at the actual components will be visually different.

It's why you'll hear spacers refered to as poseur lifts.

I bought my Taco with a 4” Pro Comp drop bracket style lift.

They’re really not “bad” lol. Contrary to what you will hear, I’ve never had any issues over the last 240k+. It drives perfectly straight and smooth for a truck with 270k+. Gets me to work everyday and has taken me down any trail I wanted to go down lol. As with anything though, know your limits. I decided that dedicated off-road toys were more fun off-road.

A spacer lift looks the same as a truck with a suspension lift. Looks get wonky when you start doing body lifts.

This an older pic. I’ve since added a hidden winch. 295s in this pic too, I’ve now stepped down to 285s cuz they way cheaper and not much difference in size.

You can kind of see mine in my avatar. I started with 3" (1.5" spacer) and have cut them down to a 1" spacer, or 2" lift.
My UCAs were hitting my coils at full droop so I installed limit straps. I also had to install the ECGS bushing because of the driver side needle bearing vibration in the diff.
Once you install the spacers, your bump stops will need some help so you'll need taller bumps or a way to add some type of spacer to your LCA. If not, the body of the strut will take the brunt of the load on full compression. upload_2023-1-21_11-16-49.jpg
My ride really didn't change, contrary to many 'opinions' on spacer lifts. I've had mine in for 4 or 5 years now with no problems. I do some light off-roading, but nothing that really hammers the suspension. In my opinion, if you're on a budget, they aren't a bad option. There are thousands of them on the road on trucks that have never had an issue.
But, for every supporting opinion, you'll find five against it. Likely, most of those have never run a spacer lift.

Top plate spacers don’t really change the ride quality much since you’re not preloading the coil like coil spacers do. But like you said you can potentially blow out a shock if you don’t compensate for the new shock position by spacing your bumpstop.
