    That sounds great. I have some work to catch up on this weekend but I’ll see if I can make it out. If not tomorrow then soon.

    where and when do y’all usually meet up?

    @Ozark_RegCab the Little Rock Rigs and Coffee group is extremely outgoing and welcoming.

    If your rig will run, that's all that really matters to this group.

    Since we have a member meeting us from Harrison. We will meet him at the Hankins Country Store in Sand Gap (Pelsor) near the trails. The rest of us from Russellville and Little Rock will meet at Harps Grocery Store in Dover before heading north on HWY 7 to Sand Gap. We usually meet on Saturdays at 9:00 AM at Harps. This weekend we moved it to Sunday since we had Rigs and Coffee.

    Hell yeah.

    One thing I've never welded are hinges and latches/locks for a self-made tool box or something.

    I'd assume I'd mess up getting something to close and have things sit flush; this is based off that one video I posted where a guy made a flatbed but also incorporated tool boxes he made himself.

    The 99 has a slightly bent spindle. Lower control arms were “new” but Duralast lower control arm bushings last roughly 10-15K non-offroad miles vs ~150K from OEM arms. The steering column needed a new rag joint and the tac weld + plastic spacer installed. Steering wheel had so much play it freaked the shops out.

    Final issue ended up being the shops themselves. That little hole in the wall place was able to align it fine with everything fixed. Rural Texas just isn’t the place to live if you’re particular about your vehicle.

    Toyota dealership doesn’t align modified vehicles otherwise I’d likely use them.

    Yeah that’s the part that’s a challenging. One weld in the wrong spot and your range of motion is messed up. The die grinder is my friend today.

    I really want to try building a box out of sheet metal, seems like a really useful thing to be able to work. Could build custom metal enclosures for electronics projects, various tool boxes, maybe even a diy off-road fridge.

    That'd be really cool.

    Was talking to @Abeyancer earlier about that...easy snowball effect of buying yet another tool to "do this do that"

    A press brake for sheet metal can be had pretty cheap; it's the heavier gauge presses that start costing more.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    You knew you were doing a good job if you weren't being told to just change your socks and take some motrin for the pain; that was the remedy for everything.

    Yeah I’ve had that finger brake for the HF 20 ton press open in a tab on my phone for 6 months, just waiting for a moment of weakness :laughing:
