1/22/2022 Philly cheesesteak meet interest

If you wait for everyone's input it will never happen, pick a few dates you think work best and put up a poll in a new thread. Do pay attention to dates that may reduce participation such as Super Bowl Sunday, Daytona 500, Easter, etc.

 

I don’t wanna steal somebody else’s event. I’m thinkin Tacomaworld Tony Luke’s Takeover, picturing Tacomas double parked around the block.

No one else has rogered up to take point this year, just remember that adequate parking is an important consideration, not much fun if there's only space for 10 tacomas to park next to each other

Yea last years spot was pretty awesome. I imagine if we wait until it starts to get warm the field may be in use and the lot would fill up.

 

Also if I’m planning this I’d be tempted to stay close to home and make it the southern Chester county cheesesteak meetup

There doesn't seem to be parking for 5 trucks there let alone 100, and the walk is along a 2 lane road with an overgrown sidewalk

 

this place is off 95 in Levittown area in a big parking lot. The Steaks are phenomenal. Curly’s Comfort Foods.

or maybe we could hire someone who has a center city roach coach to haul out to a location of our choosing?

or multiple? We could have a pop up food truck court in the middle of nowhere

 

FWIW the reason that we've done this at Dalesandros so many times is the big parking lot at the football field next door. We've never had an issue with space, especially when we did Sunday meets there.

Good luck finding another place with steaks as good and ample parking.

I was just thinking about this the other night when I was having dinner.

 

I just got reminded that it was a year ago.

Im not super interested in a cheese steak from somewhere other than Dalessandro's or Chubby's. But @FreshOldTaco said there were some other options close by?

 

I think Dalessandro's is the best spot for this honestly. A lot of trucks showed up last time so that big parking lot makes it ideal. And the cheesesteaks are great too

 

I'm in. Unless Ragnar has a wrestling meet that day.

 

Looks like parking for 25 - 30 vehicles without encroaching into other lots. I believe that would accommodate the turn out of the last 3 or 4 meets.
