As long as there are guys like me who have been wanting to add a DRZ to stable for a while but also wondering if an XR would be a good option for what I would want it for too there is no reason to make a change. I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Just glad they have kept the engineers at arms length enough to not screw them up so far.

My problem is with 30 years of used bikes it's hard to justify a new one.

Oh 1000%, whenever I do pull the trigger on one it will be used. But I'm cheap and the idea of buying a brand new bike is lost on me, although someone has to do it so I can buy it a few years later.

I had a guy stop and ask me about the Navi today when I parked it downtown. He said he's got a couple CT90s and Supercubs and loves mini Hondas. He was a little jealous when I said I paid $1k for mine (I usually overpay for junk so I was excited to actually score a deal on something).

I pulled most of the mods that I did to the Navi off today: handguards, left-hand-rear-brake, aux light and harness, swapped the horn back, filled in the hole I drilled in the headlight bucket with a random body clip I had, readjusted the parking brake, and gave it a good wipe down. I left the LED turn signals, relay, tail tidy, and the rollers alone. Kind of sad, but really excited for a grom. I filmed a video for my channel explaining that I was selling it and why, but I think I'm going to re-film it tomorrow, it just sounded way too sad and depressed haha.

I’m going to see which tidy she wants, but I’ll most likely have 1 if not 2 left over, happy to pass one along. I got 2 for free from Kemimoto after I had bought and modded their universal one myself.

I’ll also have to look at which rollers I have. I bought two sizes and only used 3 of one size mixed with 3 stock. Same thing, I’ll see what she wants to do.

Looked at the date code of my helmet today. 2010… guess it’s time to look into a new helmet. Need something that would be good for the Honda Grom and SV650

Didn’t know you could remove the visor! Might just have to go that route. Then it will give me motivation to get a T7 in the next 5 years

Yeah, it comes with parts to put on if you go without the visor. It's a do-all helmet :D

Yeah I'm looking for a couple of helmets too. I want an open face for when it gets warmer and a full face for when it's cooler. I don't want to spend a bunch of money but still want something decent, and with drop down internal sun visor. Probably look at hjc because they have some at reasonable prices and some others. Hjc seems to fit me well. When I can get to the store to try them on. I think I have an oval head.

I have this HJC(bought it so I could ride until my Suomy came in). It's not bad at all. I just wish it had the drop down shade.

This is today's weather, more to come 2 days this week, next week isn't looking much better. So the new bike won't be coming home for awhile.

Thanks! Just subbed to his channel.

Now that I have a ton of free time from not working I want to make some videos as well but I'm not sure about what. The Navi YT video sector seems pretty well covered.

Thanks! Now I'm only 690 subs away from being monetized  Kidding, I have no delusions I'll ever make money off YT, I just think they're fun to make. It started with some F800GS and CT90 videos, like maintenance tutorials and just my random gopro clips with no real narrative. When I got the Navi there was next to nothing on YT about them, so I jumped on that segment. I think my best performing video is still my first ride on it a couple weekends after I got it (right around 15K views?). It'll be interesting to see how the algorithm treats any Grom content I do in the future with how much of that is out there.

I do actually hope to get around 500 sometime in the next year though, apparently that's the threshold for being an Amazon affiliate and being able to make money from links. I applied when I had around 150 and got denied after a few days. 2 purchases from my links in those couple days got me like $18. It'd be nice to get parts paid for through that.

I subbed so... 1 closer to your goal? Hopefully the Grom will get you some views and subs!
