I took Amanda out for the best evening she's had in many years; I really see something in this girl!

 

I picked up this 1960 Studebaker Lark at the swap meet today, and unfortunately I bought it purely because of its color and similarity to a 1961 Lark shared by my mom and her sisters when they were teenagers in the 1970s, and not it's condition. It is in worse condition than I thought and is missing the grille; I am going back to the swap meet tomorrow, to see if I can score another one for slightly less than what I paid for this one, if the guy has any left that is...

I hope it works out for you buddy. I really do.
But I’m skeptical. Mostly because what you told us about her situation.
I’m not sure that’s something I’d want to take a chance on.

FUN FACT: This one girl I used to date literally lives in my neighborhood; I drive by her house everyday, and sometimes she's outside, though until recently I would roll up the window if I drove past and she was in the yard. I haven't talked to her since the summer of 2018, so rest assured that I am very good at getting rid of ex-girlfriends.

 

I forgot to mention this. My dad and I both loathe the new government-mandated "safety" gas tanks, and on Saturday, this guy had one of the old "unsafe" jugs for a paltry two bucks. You bet your ass I bought it!

 

Still looks like the spring loaded nozzle.
I don’t like those either. You have to press the nozzle against the tank mouth.
Eventually, this causes the nozzle to leak at the tank.

Or tear the stupid spring out of it and use a cork on the spout.

Or these- But the seals don’t always fit right. So don’t crank the nozzle down too tight.

I hate the new style with a passion, also bought the easy pour nozzles for my tanks.

 

Especially a stupid design when pouring into a small engine device, when it starts glugging you end up losing so much

 

^ Perfect example of "One that got away" I wanted this exact same Stang so bad... 100% the LX trunk slammers were the fastest 5.0's (I agree speculating this was not loaded up with the typical options we see as standard now (Or on many GTs)

I had a 79 like this. Red, bottom half of doors/fenders black, black stripes on hood. 2.3 liter under the hood.

Replace it with an EZ Bake oven.

My friend's older sister had an EZ Bake Oven in the 1990s, and I seem to to remember that it used a normal incandescent light bulb...? Also, the original from 1963 looks like a miniature household gas range, while the one my friend's sister had in 1994-1995 looked like a fairly normal-sized countertop microwave.
