So tired of this BS. Why does the government spend so much time making people that obey the law the criminals?

Correct me if I am wrong. But, doesn't the ATF have to compensate everyone for these braces as they are your property?

The problem is that they are saying if it had a brace on it when it was made/imported/sold, it was already a SBR and thus was supposed to already be compliant. As they were not compliant at the time, they were/are illegal.
It's a bunch of BS, and they don't offer the opportunity to "correct" the issue by removing the brace or registering it as a SBR with the brace or a stock.

"brace" or "no brace" aren't firearm categories on a 4473. The categories are "pistol" and "rifle".

Went to the range and zeroed in my Holosun 507c on my Dagger. Was shooting great but then the dot kept getting loose. It was recommended on the Dagger groups to use the Holosun long screw on the left and the short screw on the right. The short screw was coming loose. I loctited it with blue loctite once I got home, we will see how that works next time.

On a fun note, we had a fun little "competition" between ourselves at the range. I won with my Beretta M9. The other two had a Canik TP9sf and a Gen 5 Glock 19

In Texas and Louisiana, yes. Until the Supremes get their hands on it and Bruenize it, then errbody gets to be legal.

In a slight dilemma. Bought an older AR with a 90s receiver and carry handle upper. I cleaned the crap out of it. When I first shot it, the gas key came loose, it wasn't staked. Later on, I swapped out a PSA BCG from my go to AR that I've never had any issues out of. As well as mounted a Primary Arms 5x Prism scope using the recommended thumb screw. Trying to get it sighted in at 25 yards, shots were all over the place! The scope seems tight and it was designed (according to PA) to fit in a carry handle after removing the picatinny mount. So do I drill another hole in the carry handle in order to use 2 thumb screws to better secure it? I hate drilling into it but it's not like it's an expensive rifle or worth a lot.
Second issue, even though I really cleaned it good, I had a stuck case in the chamber (a FTE). Never had that issue with that BCG or that ammo before. It did a double tap, only once and not sure why. I think that jammed the case in a little more. The round that hit it, the bullet was pushed back into the case. I don't know if this is going to be an issue in the future. But shots being all over the target at only 25 yards is concerning.

I had a similar issue mounting a PA 5x onto a carry handle. I honestly think the early generation 5x fit, but the newer ones don't. Either that or there is a specific brand of carry handle that they do fit. I never even tried to zero the sight because there was an obvious tilt to the sight.
