So... any updates on the 2/18 run? Was there any decision on where we might wheel? If it's gonna be somewhere further north I am probably going to look into staying at a buddy's place in Sheboygan that Friday night to get going earlier in the morning.

Just wanted to wake up this thread again.

I was thinking maybe the T.W.A.T, starting at Sparta and heading north. I'm open to ideas, as well. This is a section that I haven't been through in a few years.

I hadn't considered this. I would probably try car camping in the winter sometime.

I like this plan. I may have to go to Tenn sometime in Feb. But if I am around..... The wife has that date marked, and she wants to go.

I might be up for this, suppose it depends on how the weather cooperates more than anything. Looks like most of that section is either blacktop or gravel roads?

Hey, I'm willing to go anywhere right now and get this truck off of city roads. Would this be mostly like gravel or fire trails? T.W.A.T. noob here.

Yes, there's a lot of blacktop, but a few gravel roads. And, there's a few areas that probably aren't maintained in winter which might be fun.

I think this area was just a nice ride through rural Wisconsin. I don't remember anything particularly interesting about it, but I remember enjoying the ride.

    Are they ill-tempered gravel roads?

Ha! I gotta find a way to flex this new suspension soon. :mudding:

I think there will be some areas that are not maintained, so maybe a little rough. Otherwise, anything can be ill tempered if you drive fast enough.

Yes this is mostly scenic blacktop although there was a cool section of horse/ATV trails that had some roads open to motor vehicles in Clark County just south where I and M meet. When I went through there in October the tails were bit twisty and rough. It was fun after being on the road for so long. I would also be down for some winter camping.
