$10k is a lot of money for a truck that has holes in the roof

Further to what @01x4 said... if you can get the seller on the phone or even work up a dialogue via email that might gain you some favor. Some folks will take the first pile of cash that shows up, but some would rather make sure their baby goes to a good home. Fingers crossed that your seller is the latter.

I bought my previous owner a sushi lunch while we talked price. Maybe setup a dinner date to give him something to look forward to.

    Somewhere nice, like Arby’s.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Is that before or after you tell them the price of the vehicle is less the price of the dinner

My exact words were, when I couldn’t talk her any lower “$2900 CAD, and I buy lunch”

She went for it, and we’re friends now :)

My cousin came over from PA a little while back with his 03, mentioned his PS pump started whining on the way. I went to check it out, and the rack itself had rotted through. Pulled off the bushing and the rack just had a big hole in it on the rear facing side. Can't say I've ever seen that before, and I've seen some seriously rotted 1st gens

Sorry I couldn’t make it out today; I had a lot of work to catch up on. Trying to tie up loose ends before I start my new job.

The description is worded kind of like a used car lot. It does look really clean though.

Woop looks like I'm in the ARB failure camp. There's gear oil coming out the air line which I'm pretty sure means the notorious o ring failed

edit: there's also oil everywhere so maybe the oil pan is leaking too

The internet has scared me away from ever touching one of those. Looks like mild to extreme levels of pain and suffering.

When it works it works great! I've actually never had an issue with it not working. That said, next time I think I'll go with another automatic locker in the front

I'm gonna assume the oil drain plug being 1/16 turn from tight is why everything is covered in oil. Fill the diff tomorrow if I can and keep an eye on everything a week or two before i put the skid back on.
