my hair isn't that long and he has better thoots than me
please think of this! advertizing, the only products that need to be advertized is the products that don't sell, and why don't those products sell? cause they are no good and nobody want them, follow a basic rule, if its advertized don't buy it and the other brand thats not advertized will always be a better product.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
No I get them at the dealership, $5 each, I think.... I have had some thoughts about using Mobil 1 oil filters . Relatively expensive too at $10 each but supposedly they are good quality.... but you cannot go wrong with Toyota filters. Its about the only contact I have with my local dealer, as my 30K (major fluids replacement) I had done at a local shop that I have been dealing with for 12yrs. They only work on Subaru's( my girlfriend has Subies) but have taken on Toyota's too. Trustworthy , and my truck is always done on time and they do the best work around.

Figured I'd post in this thread as opposed to starting a new one. So quick question...I've read up on the 5w-20/5w-30/0w-20 debates as to what's best for our trucks (1GR) but I'm curious about using 10w. I've got almost a full 5 quart container of Mobil-1 full syn 10w-30 left over from my old 4runner. We're just about done with the cold weather here and it doesn't get that cold anyway. Would this be ok for one cycle? This is also the first oil change I'm doing on the truck. It's at just over 3k miles right now.
    Thanks in advance!

I use full synth royal purple 5w/30. Started using at 15,000 miles on odot. Change every 3000 and always clean drain. They say you can go as much as 4500 miles inbetween oil changes after running and changing oil a couple of times. On my 10th oil change now and will keep using. Ebay I pay 86.00 a case shipped. I use K&N oil filters and Zmax engine and fuel additives. Filters cost 11.00(x2) shipped and Zmax is local buy at 39.95. I pay roughly 147.00 for two oil changes. Local oil change in/out charges 117.00 tax incl. for full synth change. Do the work yourself and get the best for cheap(er). I also use royal purple full synth in my transmission and tranfer cases.
Very happy with all products......Best to you.

Most oil filters are only efficent at removing particles larger than 40 microns but there are a few brands of oil filters that are very efficient at removing particles just 10 microns and that will reduce internal engine wear at least 50%.
You're wasting your money on synthetic oil if you don't use the right filter.
You can't go wrong using any brand of oil filter made by Champion Labs, but there is a cheaper $3.99 brand of oil filter out there thats better than the $15-$20 national brand.

You are missing the point I was making, most people are stupid and don't know oil from a door knob, so who-ever advertizes more is the one that sells more oil, but just because a certain brand is advertized more doesn't mean its the best.
All I am asking avoid buying the brands that are advertized.
I am an intellectuial, yes I am more intelligent than most people, I find it difficult to explain my higher level of thinking to the uneducated and I understand some may become irritated reading what they don't understand.
This is as simple as I can make it, just because a certain brand of synthetic oil is advertized doesn't mean its the best, it costs more cause they have to raise their price to pay for the advertizing!
