    But did manage to get the appropriate washers to space the idlers correctly. I'll do one last check with the belts on obviously.

    Dude.. I'm 100% the same way.. the one time I try and do it by the book. I Figured the tensioner might be somewhat critical and didn't want to have to pull everything apart again later to re-do it.. and here we are.

    This is the story of my life...

    :laugh::frusty: I'm laughing with you, not at you BTW because I understand that pain all too well. Yeah the tensioner is not something I'd consider critical (the bolt(s) holding it I mean. What it does is vital obviously). Dude the one time I tried to do it by the book as well I cracked an entire driver's side section of a cast aluminum oil pan. Really pissed me off and swore never again unless it's vital and internal.

    Assume that one of is closer 18-22. You can feel that bolt flexing with something holding the tensioner

    Is the bolt for the accessory drive belt tensioner? The 14mm (or was it 15mm) one?

    Good call. I'll do that tomorrow. Need to go back anyways and get a shorter M8 for the roller for the pulley wrap mod. Also need to shop around for the best price/place for an OEM tensioner tomorrow and order that.

    The 14MM one. The one bolting the engine tensioner pulley to the tensioner assembly.

    I prefer the torques. Unless the bolt comes in and out a bunch like an oil drain plug... That I just snug up.

    Oh yeah, okay. I typically don't overtighten that one past the point of it moving to full tension relief to remove the belt while the belt is on it. I've always felt like that bolt is a little flimsy as well and can feel it flexing like was mentioned, so I'm always a little careful on how tight it needs to be.

    I just wanted to link this Tundra S/C thread that we FINALLY got control over! it started out as a dude asking questions about the Harrop, then he vanished. But everyone just kept commenting in it anyways. We got the title changed over by the mods a few months back, and finally got control over the front page last week!     I didn't know Whipple made a supercharger for the 3ur. Might have to add a tundra to the fleet.
