Speaking of dicks some kid thought it would be an absolute stroke of genius to draw dicks on some of the district school buses and he did it in front of not one not two but three security cameras all while wearing a jersey that has his last name on it

I guess I just don't get it...though I do remember drawing dumb shit like a beard, coloring in teeth (to depict missing teeth) or an eye patch or something.

When french settlers were being colonials in the south they used to sing this song to keep time as they rowed their boats (possibly even gently down the stream)

They ate a native bird, the horned lark, and this song is about how much they want to prep one for cooking and eating.

 

I heard the original (in French) back when I lived in Germany, and even had to rehearse it back to the teacher but never knew the story behind it.

I had to rehearse it in grade school as well, didnt know what it was about till my first year of French when I lived in the UK. I love French cause in the native language it sounds cute but translated to English is dark lol... so much of French is like that.

One of my favorite lines to tell girls used to be "tu es plus belle qu'une poubelle" sounds exotic when spoken in french... but translates to "you are prettier than a trashcan"

Being in culinary brings it all back because a lot of lingo is just that, French.

How long did you live out there? I was in Germany for a good 7 years so I went to grade school out there.
