But also changed the oil, turn signal light, and installed two rivnuts where the License Plate is mounted in the rear since the original ones were fucked.

Too much BS'in, not enough adventuring.

South Rim of the GC for an 11-mile jog down and up Bright Angel. Prepping for another R2R2R on March 25th.

Aravaipa Canyon for a 12-mile out and back in the river.

Sheep Bridge to soak in the lukewarm spring, and for a 17-mile out and back hike to Willow Spring. I am glad to have checked this place off of the list, but it isn't super worthwhile in my book. The privacy of a Thursday night was enjoyable, chilling nude in the lukewarm spring (which feels great when you first get in, but gets tepid in just a few minutes), but even in the frigid cold there were still plenty of people around on Friday night.

On the way out there we came across this destroyed SUV. Would have lent them a hand but there was no one around.

Got a 10" NVX underseat subwoofer and combination seat vibrator for Christmas and @Man of Steel TRD got it all installed for me under the drivers seat.

While we were in there, we got everything vacuumed and sucked all the farts out of the drivers seat with his extractor. While the seats were drying in the sunny part of his driveway, he said "Hey look at that bird!" and pointed at an avian critter that had landed on one of the head rests. It was right then that I remembered what it was birds do before they take off, and sure enough I was cleaning the head rest again with the extractor.

On the topic of the NVX sub its fantastic so far. Filled out the sound perfectly and fit nicely under the drivers seat. Its been the most impactful of the audio upgrades and will likely be the last as well.

Also, we found out that a TRD O.R./Sport Head unit is plug-and-play with an SR minus Nav and SiriusXM functionality. My fellow SR/SR5 bretheren will need to buy the matching dash bezel, though, for it to fit. I'd only recommend it if you can get the head unit cheap, though, as an aftermarket unit is better for the price.

The initial investment is high, but the rebuild is much cheaper. I have two pairs, and it's ~ 1/2 or less than the cost of a new pair. Doesn't matter if the size changes, either. A rebuild is a rebuild to them.

What Coms do you guys use if any??

I install a midland 275 and also run with a Baofeng handheld. Both are new to me and still learning how to set up and use them correctly.

    Anyone else run something similar?

Watching videos is educational, but I learn differently with hands on approach. Might be worth a meet up and some beers?

Just switched to a rugged m1 and 696+ setup and am super happy. But that’s race car stuff. Otherwise been using a baofeng handheld dual band for a while and been happy with it
